Public Relations Assistant at Uasin Gishu County Government

QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements for Appointment: -

• Diploma in any of the following: Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, Internal Relations or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
• Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili;
• Be proficient in Information Communication Technology including use of internet and intranet services.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Gather, receive, verify, translate and edit news and features from various sources;
• Determine the quality of news in relation to original stories filed or received from News Agencies and relating their relevance to Government policy;
• Collect information features and documentaries of on-going programmes and projects;
• Prepare media briefs; and
• Participate in county or departmental events and activities;
