Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and articulate Relationship Officer to join our SACCO’s Sales & Marketing team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will support efforts to promote our savings and loan products to both existing and prospective members through telephone outreach. You will play a key role in lead generation, product promotion, and member engagement to drive uptake of our financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make outbound calls to individuals and businesses to promote SACCO savings and loan products (e.g., Goal deposit accounts, Flexible Savings, Wallet accounts).
• Explain product benefits, eligibility, and sign-up processes clearly and persuasively.
• Follow up with leads and referrals to convert interest into active memberships or product sign-ups.
• Keep accurate records of all calls, outcomes, and member feedback.
• Support marketing campaigns by reaching out to target groups via phone.
• Work with the marketing and customer service teams to resolve inquiries or escalate issues.
• Deliver daily and weekly payments mobilization, and loan disbursement targets.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree (completed) in Marketing, Business, Communication, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Friendly, confident, and persuasive on the phone.
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
• High level of integrity and respect for member confidentiality.
• Prior experience in a SACCO, bank, Microfinance, or customer service role is an added advantage.
