Resident Assistant at United States International University - USIU Africa

Summary:

• Resident Assistants will report to the Housing Officer.

Qualifications:

Applicants must:

• Be undergraduate students
• Be students with strong leadership qualities
• Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above
• Be at least sophomores (2nd year) at the University
• Have basic knowledge about first aid and peer counseling or be willing to undertake such courses.
• Be upright students with clean disciplinary record as USIU-Africa.

Responsibilities:

• General responsibilities include; checking-in and out of residents from the hostels, orienting new students, maintaining discipline in the hostels, assisting sick residents, supervising cleaners, responding to residents’ concerns, assessing hostel maintenance needs, relieving hostels receptionists for lunch and dinner breaks, mediating disputes among residents and any other duties as assigned.
• Resident Assistants start duties a day before the hostels open for check-in and continues through exam week.
