    Restaurant Manager

    Job Summary:

    As a Restaurant Manager for a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), you will lead the management of all aspects of the restaurant through coaching, developing, motivating, and engaging your team. You will create a culture that focuses on People, Process, and Product to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing employees, controlling costs, and driving sales.

    Main Outputs and Responsibilities:

    Operational Management

    • Manage all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, including food preparation, customer service, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout the restaurant.
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
    • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, security, and customer service.
    • Monitor restaurant performance metrics and implement corrective action plans as needed.

    Employee Management

    • Train, develop, and motivate employees to provide excellent customer service and maintain high operational standards.
    • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and accountability.
    • Manage employee schedules, ensure adequate staffing levels, and control labor costs.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to drive continuous improvement.
    • Handle employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions and grievances, in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

    Sales and Marketing

    • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth and increase profitability.
    • Monitor and analyze sales trends, adjust pricing and promotions as needed to maximize revenue.
    • Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive customer traffic.
    • Conduct competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
    • Foster a culture of sales excellence by setting clear sales goals and incentivizing employees to achieve them.

    Financial Management

    • Monitor and control restaurant costs, including food, labor, and other expenses.
    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecast sales and labor needs, and analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure accurate inventory tracking, ordering, and receipt of food and supplies.
    • Manage cash handling and banking procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of all financial transactions.

    Customer Experience

    • Create a customer-focused environment by providing exceptional service and quality products.
    • Monitor and respond to customer feedback to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Utilize customer feedback tools to understand the key drivers and blockers for guest experience and develop appropriate tactics to resolve opportunity areas.
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented according to company standards.
    • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized restaurant environment that reflects the brand image.


    • Act as an ambassador for the company and brand at community and commercial events.
    • Attend and contribute to regular business reviews with upper management.
    • Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and within the required timeframe.
    • Embrace and embed new and/or changes to company systems and processes.
    • Follow-up on any issues arising from health and safety audits to ensure corrective action is taken as required.
    • Provide support to other restaurants and share best practices with your peer group, as required.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in business or hospitality management.
    • 3-5 years of experience in QSR management, with a proven track record of success in driving sales, controlling costs, and managing teams.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
