Retail Lead - Q-Commerce at Glovo

• Q-Commerce is a new business unit inside Glovo which includes all types of  Supermarkets, to Pharmacies and Shops such as electronics, pharmacies, beauty, flowers, toys, video games.
• We are currently building a strong local team in order to re-invent how consumers buy retail, making it more convenient and easy than ever before.

BE A PART OF A TEAM WHERE YOU WILL:

• Own and manage Retail business in Kenya: P&L, Operations, Strategy and Team.
• Define the long term Retail strategy for Kenya
• Translate long term strategy into actionable tasks and ensure adherence to business plan
• Setup and scale operational processes and frameworks for category management, operations, and other functional areas in the market
• Be the owner of Business Unit P&L
• Manage and develop a high performing team 
• Acquire and develop the business of  the most relevant retail partners in the market
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team (marketing, operations, finance…) to achieve quick and flawless execution
• Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference

YOU HAVE:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, e-commerce or FMCG. 
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with exposure to senior partners and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic topics with a deeply analytical and data-driven approach to issues
• Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well
• Full proficiency in English is required
• Grittiness, never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
• An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
