    Sales And Marketing Manager

    Job Summary

    Sales and marketing manager is responsible on the overall sales and marketing department effectiveness in realizing department goals and laying company long-term strategies, expansion of the company marketing and sales scope in company’s area of coverage, that is, east Africa and beyond.

    Requirements:  

    • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in hospitality & tourism from renowned institution of learning.
    • Certificate in supervisory skills will be an added advantage.
    • Sharp people relations skills with good problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work within timelines and respond to problems providing solutions at any time.
    • Be ready to work outside normal work hours and willing to travel to regional company offices.

    Experience:     

    • 7+ years of work experience in tourism industry in a senior management position.

    Duties:     

    Sales and marketing manager is responsible on the overall sales and marketing department effectiveness in realizing department goals and laying company long-term strategies, expansion of the company marketing and sales scope in company’s area of coverage, that is, east Africa and beyond.

    The role will be responsible to perform the following duties:-

    • Marketing and selling the company brand and destinations in e. Africa as a multicultural destination for leisure and relaxation.
    • Market and sell visitations to the multicultural events and attraction sites in east africa through company travel packages .
    • Doing sales projection within specified periods and lead the department towards achieving the targets.
    • Perform staff performance appraisal after agreed periods and advice on thereof.
    • Supervises the tours sales consultants and marketing staff activities responsible for product development with a focus to widening the company service coverage.
    • Directs and performs the sales and marketing activities required to coordinate listings on tourism publications.
    • Monitors leads, produces performance reports and maintains a tourism and event calendar supervises visitor information requests.
    • Handle enquiries, concerns and complaints from the clients.
    • Strategically supplies company information to the general public about the company to boost local and international travels.
    • Assists with the design and production of promotional material including brochures and signage. Prepare periodic reports in collaboration with junior staff.
    • Assists with annual report preparation.
    • Assists at travel shows by representing the company.
    • Coordinating international contracted marketing agencies activities.
    • Advice the company on website information updates as required.
