    Sales Team Leaders - Alternative Channels - Meru

    Responsible for driving production of retail life insurance business with the overall objective of growing Alternative Channels.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Promote Sales of Ordinary Life Insurance Products to Customers through intermediaries i.e. Banks, SACCOS, Microfinance Institutions, Brokers and Independent Agents
    • Establish, develop and maintain New Partnerships with intermediaries.
    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and Customer relationships.
    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
    • Deliver the agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within agreed timelines.
    • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
    • Lead by example in business acquisition and persistency.
    • Grow ordinary life business in respective regions through active recruitment, retention and motivation of intermediaries.
    • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
    • Preparing weekly and monthly reports as required and submit to the Head of Alternative Channels
    • Regularly conduct market survey aimed at collecting market intelligence.
    • Provide market feedback to ensure quality service and underwriting standards are maintained.
    • Co-ordinate any marketing campaigns to promote business growth
    • Coordinate the product training to ensure the intermediaries are adequately trained.

    Experience and Knowledge Required

    • At least 2 years’ experience in selling Ordinary Life Insurance
    • Attention to detail.
    • Self-starter who is well organized.
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office especially MS excel and MS word.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications required

    • Degree in business related course.
    • Professional qualification in insurance or marketing.
