Science Laboratory Technician at Mawego Technical Training Institute

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving, labellingand safely storing laboratory chemicals and samples to be tested.
• Determining and performing tests needed for analysis and report.
• Maintain laboratory inventory such as equiprnent records and ensure equipment and samples are available when required.
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment including recalibration of equipment.
• Ensure strict health and safety regulations.
• Ensure safe disposal of laboratory waste.
• Perform routine laboratory functions to support scientific experiments and investigations
• Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements;

• Minimum of a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or a Diploma in Applied Biology with a Certificate in Science Laboratory Technology.
• Must be Computer literate and knowledgeable on the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• At least 3 years relevant work experience.
• Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anticorruption Commission.
• KRA Tax Compliance clearance.
• Good organization skills.
• Attention to detail.
