    Senior Accounts Assistant

    REF: KFCB/HR/8/2022
    Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
    Grade: KFCB 7

    Job Purpose: Responsible for assisting in verifying and examining financial accounting information.


    1. Examining payment vouchers and committal documents in accordance with laid down financial rules and regulations;
    2. Preparing payment vouchers, imprest and committal documents in accordance with laid down financial rules and regulations;
    3. Carrying out bank reconciliation;
    4. Verifying data entered into cashbooks, ledgers, vote books, registers;
    5. Verifying and receipting of all monies due and payable to the Board;
    6. Safe custody of Accountable Documents under his/her sections(s);
    7. Ensuring proper maintenance of efficient filling systems; and
    8. Safe keeping of invoices, receipts and other accounts records;
    9. Verification of petty cash.
    10. Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

    Specifications/Requirements for Appointment;

    1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education;
    2. Part I of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) examination or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    3. Three (3) years relevant work experience;
    4. Supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks;
    5. Proficiency in Computer applications.
