    Senior Community Development Officer- (1 Post)

    REF: LVSWWDA/SCDO/2023/05 

    Job Specification 
    The duties and responsibilities at this level will involve: -

    1. Identify Water Service Providers within the Agency’s area of jurisdiction;
    2. Managing the community Development section and coordinate activities such as formation of Community Water Service Providers;
    3. Mobilization of Community Based Organizations; 
    4. Sensitization of communities on formation of CBOs, dissemination of information;
    5. Develop mechanisms to address hindrances CBOs, NGOs; 
    6. Provide guidance on preparation of proposals on community projects that require funding.
    7. Prepare proposals on community projects that require funding.

    Person Specifications 
    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have/ be:

    • A minimum period of four (4) years relevant work experience;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Community Development, Development Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution;
    • Professional Development in a relevant field;
    • Membership to a professional body where applicable;
    • Demonstrated competence in work performance and results;
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
