Senior Legislative Counsel - 2 Posts at Nairobi City County Public Service Board

Job Requirement

For a person to qualify for appointment as senior legislative counsel, they must;

• Possess a Bachelors of Laws degree from a recognized University.
• Be an Advocate of the High court of at least four years.  
• Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
• Demonstrates excellent communication, research and reporting skills.
• Demonstrates ability to review Legislative Instruments.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Demonstrates understanding and experience in legislative drafting.

Job Description

• Advising County Sectors on Legislative issues.
• Reviewing of policy documents to ensure that they confirm with the constitution and all statutory requirements
• Drafting bills and subsidiary legislations.
• Providing legislative advisory services to the County Government.
• Identifying strategic priority areas that require law reform within the County.
• Monitoring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
