Software Development Intern at Bosch Africa

Your responsibilities:

• Ability to build applications for the Android platform.
• Work with remote data sources via REST and JSON.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Assist in updating application development policies to ensure that all future applications meet the latest technical requirements.
• Develop comprehensive application testing procedures.
• Implement best development practices.

Your competencies and qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 1-2 years working in a fast paced business environment or similar role.
• Proven Software development experience and Android skills development.
• Experience with Android SDK.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
