Strategic Planning Consultant at SID Institute

We are looking for a Strategic Planner to define our client’s company’s direction and develop plans to realize business objectives. You will help maintain competitive advantage and allocate resources appropriately.

Strategic thinking is the most important skill in this role. You should also be analytical with strong organizational abilities. If you also have experience in market research and business operations, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

1. Understand and shape the company’s strategy and mission
2. Develop plans to materialize strategy and analyze business proposals
3. Research competition to identify threats and opportunities
4. Assess the company’s operational and strategic performance
5. Align processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy
6. Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers and acquisitions)
7. Educate senior executives in making effective decisions
8. Construct forecasts and analytical models
9. Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes

Qualifications

1. Over 10 year’s professional experience in the development and implementation of strategic plans.
2. Proven experience as a Strategic Planner or Business Consultant with 10 years’ experience preferably in a bank or NGO.
3. Application/use of innovative and effective tools for stakeholder’s engagement in the collection of required information and feedback;
4. Understanding of market research and data analysis
5. Knowledge of business operations and procedures
6. Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities
7.  Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
8. Organizational and leadership skills
9. Excellent communication skills
10. Relevant Master’s degree in any of the following academic disciplines: Organizational development and psychology; Business Administration; Economics or in a related field.
