Superintending Engineer (Structural) at Nakuru County Government

Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 50,610 – 67,110 p.m CPSB 07(Job Group ‘M’)

• Allowances as per SRC Circulars attached to the position
• Terms of service: Three (3) year contract

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Served as Assistant Engineer I (Structural) or a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for at least three (3) years;
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution;
• been registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB) as a professional engineer;
• a current valid annual practising license from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya;
• Corporate Membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK);
• Attended a project Development and Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Designing and supervision of construction of civil, marine and structural works;
• Preparation of tender documents and cost estimates for civil and marine works; and
• Carrying out structural integrity surveys on existing buildings and analysis of test results
