    Supply Chain Management Officer

     V/NO. 6/2022

    JOB SPECIFICATION

    This is the entry position for graduates. An Officer at this level will work under Supervision of a Senior Officer. The duties and responsibilities entail Assisting in: –

    1. Processing of purchase requisition;
    2. Carrying out procurement of Air tickets and follow–up on the same;
    3. Preparing Local Purchase Orders/Local Service orders for timely authorization and dispatch to suppliers;
    4. Assisting users in preparing specifications;
    5. Inviting quotations;
    6. Participating in tender opening and evaluation;
    7. Carrying out market surveys and research;
    8. Participating in quotation opening and evaluation; 
    9. Processing of purchase orders;
    10. Participating in inspection and acceptance of goods and services; and
    11. Receiving of stores and taking them on charge.

    APPLICANT SPECIFICATION

    For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –

    1. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: — Procurement and Supply Chain Management; Purchasing and Supplies Management. Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Contract Management; Logistics and Supply Management; Procurement and Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    2. Proficiency in Computer; 
    3. Good communication skills, and
    4. Meets the provisions of chapter six of the constitution;

      4. Clearance Certificate from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
      5. Clearance Certificate from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
