Switch Engineer at Interswitch

Position Summary:

Responsible for project implementation(card schemes acquiring and issuing, e-commerce payment gateway implementations), card management configurations for new issuers, HSM support - maintenance and implementation and Postilion installation and support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Configuration
   1. Installation of payment switches
   2. Configuration of payment switches
   3. Database installation
   4. Setting and configuring ATMs and POS
   5. ·Installation of Card Management Systems
   6. Configuration of Card Management Systems
   7. Configuration of Enterprise System Bus(ESB)
   8. E-Commerce gateway merchant configurations
2. Support
   1. Understanding various customer queries
   2. Assist in resolution of both internal and external queries
   3. Respond to requests for information/clarification regarding switching applications/services where necessary.
   4. Switching applications/databases System maintenance, health checks and maintaining uptimes.
   5. Extensive knowledge with JSON applications
       
3. Server/Application IT Standards Compliance
4. Setting up keys
5. Data encryption
6. Understanding PCI/DSS and how to apply it
7. DR site and backup procedure setup
8. Projects Implementation
9. Deduce and document activity matrix to help project team come up with implementation plan
10. Understanding various interfaces and testing
11. Understanding various messages and testing
12. Working with ISO 8583 and other payment standards
13. Device tests i.e. ADVT, VDVT,MTIP
14. Host certifications for VISA,MASTERCARD,VERVE
15. HSM key generation and application
16. Take part in various project meeting to understand scope
17. Conduct system acceptance and user acceptance tests (SATs and UATs)
18. Conduct CMS setups for cards generation

Academic Qualifications:

B.Eng. / B.Sc. in Elect/Elect, Computer Science or Information Technology inclined degree

Professional Qualification;

1. ACI Products - User & Specialized Training
2. Microsoft SQL MCTS – Database administration
3. Partners product certifications – Thales HSM, Double Take, ScoreBridge, Stratus, VMWare Java Fundamentals
