Systems & Networks Manager – Bomet at Summit Recruitment and Search

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and cloud-based systems.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Establish and enforce security policies to protect data and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures.
• Lead a team in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Provide high-level technical support for network and system-related problems.
• Plan and manage projects related to system upgrades and migrations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term system strategies.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) (MUST HAVE).
• A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Deep understanding of network architecture, protocols (TCP/IP), and various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
• Proficient in network security, server management, and cloud computing platforms.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for team collaboration and explaining technical concepts.
• Leadership, project management, and budget management skills.
