    Technical M&E Analyst

    Job Overview

    As the Technical M&E Analyst at SHOFCO, you will dedicate your time to our programs, working on end-to-end ideation, creation and deployment of mobile applications, based on the CommCare platform, for strengthening program delivery. In addition, as part of your job, you will support the monitoring and evaluation.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    Platform Management:

    • Design of Commcare applications, bringing together the best combination of stakeholder inputs, project needs, field feedback, technical feasibility, and robust architectural principles
    • Configure and maintain the CommCare application, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the organization.
    • Implement updates, new features, and workflows to improve user experience and data collection efficiency.
    • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot technical issues.

    User Training and Support:

    • Preparation of detailed technical documentation including software specifications that convert design documents into practical instructions that can be used for Commcare application building, software test plans and User Acceptance Testing documentation
    • Develop and deliver training sessions for new and existing users to maximize platform utilization.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to field staff and other users, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
    • Create user manuals, guides, and training materials tailored to specific roles
    • Building the capacity of the program support team to address post deployment support matters.

    Data Management and Analysis:

    • Oversee data collection processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards.
    • Analyze data trends and generate reports to inform decision-making and improve program effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators and metrics for evaluation.

    Collaboration and Coordination:

    • Work closely with program managers, IT staff, and other stakeholders to align CommCare functionalities with program goals.
    • Participate in regular meetings to communicate updates, resolve issues, and provide feedback on system performance.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Establish and implement quality assurance processes to maintain data integrity and system functionality.
    • Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement in both user performance and data quality.

    Education Qualifications

    • B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math.

    Professional Qualifications

    • At least 2+ years working in a monitoring and evaluation role towards … + digital data collection and analysis
    • At least 1+ years in Commcare Application Development
    • Experience in quantitative data management and data analysis projects would be a plus
    • Exposure to software development life cycle would be a plus
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
