    Temporary Grants and Contracts Coordinator

    PATH seeks to recruit a temporary Grants and Contracts Coordinator, for a period of six (6) months, to support and backfill for the Office of Grants and Contracts Subaward Specialist and Grants and Contracts coordinator roles. This position is based in Nairobi.

    The role of the OGC Associate will include the following:

    Awards

    • Monitor the Awards Outlook email inbox and communicate with PADMs and Programs team as necessary for additional information.
    • Complete the initial review and set up awards and related modifications in Salesforce and route for PATH internal review beginning with the Grants and Contracts (Awards) Specialist.
    • With support of the Grants and Contracts (Awards) Specialist Follow-up with the PADMs to ensure Award deliverables are uploaded and updated in Salesforce.
    • Review and run data integrity reports in Salesforce to ensure accuracy and completeness for all the awards.
    • Support in final review of fully executed award agreements and related amendments in Salesforce and updating respective records within Salesforce with any additional information as applicable.

    Outgoing Agreements

    • Working closely with Project Administrators (PADMs) where necessary to draft new Outgoing Agreements (Subawards/Subcontracts) and amendments to existing Outgoing Agreements under active awards.
    • Review Outgoing Agreements budgets, and understand indirect cost implications
    • Assure compliance with federal regulations and other donor regulations, while drafting subawards/subcontracts.
    • Provide information to assist in decision making on project modifications for Outgoing Agreements
    • Liaise with the Procurement Department if necessary when issues arise during procurement approval for Subcontracts.
    • Liaise with the Legal Department if necessary, during drafting of Outgoing Agreements.
    • Work closely with the PADMs to ensure effective closeout of Outgoing Agreements
    • Work closely with the PADMs to ensure all due Outgoing Agreements deliverables are uploaded and updated in Salesforce on a timely manner
    • Support and maintain e-filing systems for awards and Outgoing Agreements managed by OGC team or as may be requested.
    • Provide Support for PATH Audits as may be requested.
    • Support in other special projects as requested by the Performance Manager; Global Manager or OGC Director.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • A minimum of three years of progressive working experience in grants and contracts management.
    • At least two years’ experience working with an international organization.
    • Experience in USG Assistance or Acquisition as well as grants management with an international NGO and working with Salesforce will be an added advantage
    • Experience working with Salesforce will be an added advantage.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to manage a complex and diverse workload under tight deadlines.
    • Detail oriented; high degree of accuracy and strong analytical skills.
    • Excellent computer proficiency, particularly working with spreadsheets and databases.
    • Proven effectiveness working in a team under minimum supervision
    • Ability to interpret funding regulations and develop implementing procedures.
    • Ability to work independently with initiative to manage high volume workflow.
    • Must have legal authorization to work in Kenya.
