Duties And Responsibilities
- Carrying out preventive maintenance of sheet metal tools, jigs, and fixtures
- Attending to production tool breakdowns and repairs.
- Responsible for tool building, fitting, and assembly
- Working with NPI and NPD to audit and test new tools
- Participating in tools production tests in collaboration with NPI and NPD
- Training press operators on tools and best practices
- Working with Quality Control to ensure tools conform to the specifications
- Commissioning new tools for production
- Participate in continuous improvements for tools designs
- Preparation of tools SOPs and reports documentation
Skills And Experience
- 3+ Years’ experience in a busy tooling workshop
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Ability to operate mechanical workshop machines – Lathe, milling, and surface grinder
- Excellent hands-on skills in using hand tools and bench fitting
- Mechanical engineering background
- Action-oriented
- Mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
- Well organized
- Works well in a team.
