    Transport Officer II

    JOB GROUP ‘CPSB 10’ (J) THREE (3) POSTS

    Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

    Requirements for appointment

    1. A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a specialized discipline Business Management Economics, Social Science or related fields
    2. Served in a similar or in an equivalent position for cumulative period of two years as transport officer in the public service
    3. A Certificate in Fleet Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Maintain all fleet related records and documents and ensure the safety of vehicles for the Ministry of Health
    2. Management of Ministry of Health vehicles
    3. Undertaking the inspection of vehicles for evidence of misuse, damage or mechanical malfunctions
    4. Providing input for the preparation of annual budget and strategic plan in regard to transport in the Ministry of Health
    5. Supervising drivers
    6. Tracking vehicles and fuel usage and consumption rate and ensure potential or problems or fuel misuse are reported to the Chief Officer
    7. Providing input for the preparation of annual budget and strategic plan in regard to transport section

    10. Ensuring that drivers have up to date and proper driving licenses
