Transport Supervisor at Interactive Resource Management Ltd

Purpose of the Role    

• Responsible for safely operating and maintaining electric forklifts and genets, handling materials, conducting routine inspections, monitoring equipment performance, recording operations, and reporting faults while following all safety procedure.    

Role Accountabilities    

• Safely operate an electric forklift for loading, unloading, lifting, stacking and movement of materials.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and monitor battery condition and charging.
• Safely connect and disconnect the forklift charger in accordance with procedures.
• Operate and monitor diesel generator sets (genets.
• Conduct routine genset checks and monitor fuel, oil, coolant, voltage and operating parameters.
• Maintain accurate forklift, battery-charging and genset operating records.
• Report equipment faults, damage, safety hazards and abnormal operating conditions promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Comply with all company health, safety and operational procedures Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, books of accounts, and supporting documentation. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Minimum KCSE or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification/licence.
• At least 3 years relevant experience in forklift and/or genset operations.
• Experience operating electric forklifts is required/preferred.
• Knowledge of forklift battery charging and basic electrical safety.
• Basic knowledge of diesel generators and routine equipment maintenance.
• Good communication, record-keeping and teamwork skills.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment care.
