    Trend Researcher

    About the position

    We’re looking for a content Colour and style Trend Forecaster to join our Design Department and become an integral part of our content function.

    The Trend Researcher is responsible for identifying new trends through extensive research to guide Vivo brand collections. The Colour and style Trend Forecaster will have a proven experience and a deep understanding of multiple industries in Fashion Design. Led by the Design team lead you will come up with mood boards to guide new collections.

    We are looking for a curious, intelligent, and forward-thinking individual to provide world class trend research for our advisory service. Ensuring delivery of the highest quality research, they should constantly be striving to deliver high quality, insightful analysis on trending styles, prints, colours and silhouettes.

    Vivo is a growing business and this is a very important role that requires attention to detail, good coordination skills with other departments and hands-on work. You will need to bring a proactive, energetic, and engaging style to stay ahead of the various challenges. The role entails you making sure that everything is properly input into the different systems.

    Professional/Academic Background

    • Diploma /Degree required (fashion degree is an added advantage)
    • Has great style and has an eye for fashion (fashion blogger is an added advantage)
    • Excellent Researching Skills
    • Creative and forward thinking

    Essential Skills & Knowledge

    • Excellent judgement at gauging trend curve for pre-peak, peak and post peak items and how it relates to all the brands.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to create, meet and maintain schedules.
    • Must be a fashion enthusiast who is not bias but looks at the business as a whole
    • Strong follow-up and completion skills
    • Excellent presentation in showcasing Color Ways and Mock ups
    • Ability to develop reports against KPIs and perform face-to-face verbal communication in group settings.
    • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
    • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
    • Looks at challenges with a positive attitude.
    • Ability to be productive in an open, ever changing, fast paced environment.
    • Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
    • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication/presentation skills
