Requirements for appointment

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Be a holder from an institution recognized in Kenya
• Those with degrees will have an added advantage
• Working experience of not less than five (5) years
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
• Must be a resident of the specific Ward he/she is applying for.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Ward Administrator shall be responsible to the Sub-County Administrator for the following:

• Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative function in the ward unit
• Developing policies and plans
• Ensuring effective service delivery
• Coordinating developmental activities to empower the community
• Providing and maintaining infrastructure and facilities of the public service
• Managing the county public service
• Facilitating and coordinating citizen participation in the development of policies, plans and delivery of services
• Exercising any functions and duties delegated by the County Public Service Board
