Water Treatment Operator at Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Limited

 Job Specification

•  Responsible for the maintenance of KPC Water Treatment Plants to ensure provision of wholesome water for domestic and industrial use in the stations.
•  Carry out daily checks of maintenance defects in the water treatment plants.
•  Carry out routine and breakdown maintenance of buildings, water supply and reticulation systems in addition to the water treatment plants.
•  Maintain good house–keeping at the work place and the civil material stores.
•  Assist the civil technicians in their general maintenance duties and inspection of materials.
•  Analyse and record reports on loading, labour, productivity, quality, materials and performance.

 Person Specification

•  KCSE D+ or its recognized equivalent
•  Water Operator certificate from Kenya Water Institute (KEWI) of any other recognized body with a minimum three (3) years’ demonstrated competence work performance.

 Key skills and competencies

•  Considerable knowledge and understanding of KPC requirements in civil engineering relating to his area of competence.
•  Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to prepare relevant reports
•  Sound analytical skills with an eye for detail.
•  Proficiency in computer applications..
•  Demonstrate technical expertise in risk management and quality assurance
