Web Design Consultant (Graphic/UI Designer) at Centum

TIER DATA LIMITED, is a fully owned subsidiary of the Centum Investment PLC, with a focus in providing IT solutions, we work with organizations in seeking, identifying and capitalizing on innovative technology opportunities.

We are looking for a proven, talented and committed website designer. He/she should showcase an impressive portfolio of visual and UI designs for web and mobile applications as well as being an advocate for the best principles and standards for design within a collaborative, Agile environment.

The consultancy is a one-off based engagement suited for an individual who will work with a team of back-end developers.

The ideal candidate should mean the below minimum criteria:

• Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role
• Strong portfolio of design projects including websites for financial institutions, Telco’s or similar projects.
• Background in project management and research
• Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
• Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq)
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
• Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
• Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
• Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
• Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
