    Business Processing & Compliance Officer

    Job Purpose:  

    • Co-ordinate activities and support services within the Business Processing and compliance maintaining prompt, efficient and effective operational support. 

    Key responsibilities: 

    • Process all policies new and renewal as per SLA and within the set guidelines. 
    • Preparation of data upload files- Benefit set up and Member upload files and ensure set up of correct benefits for each corporate schemes and Retail policies. 
    • Process all claims from service providers, sort out invoices with reconciliations issues shared by finance (stuck invoices within the process, resubmissions). 
    • Process all reimbursements as per SLA. 
    • Process all endorsements as per SLA. 
    • System testing, validation and continuous innovation on processes and training of colleagues as required from time to time. 
    • Performing Quality assurance on captured claims ensuring reduced reconciliation challenges and that business does not suffer any loss from fraudulent claims. 
    • Ensure customer data quality and compliance is maintained across all operations as required. 
    • Schemes reconciliation and maintenance of client data – Data reconciliation for Renewals and New Business policies. 
    • Master policy creation and conversation for new retail policies. 
    • Processing of retail policies and advising finance on receipt and allocation of premiums for retail policies booked. 
    • Preparation and request of medical cards within set TAT and maintaining clear records on requested and issued cards to clients. 
    • Preparation and presentation of departmental and business reports – Daily and Monthly reports. 
    • Maintain regular internal (to staff) and external (to customers) communication on Customer Service matters implementing customer experience strategy for the company. 
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field 
    • At least 4-6 years’ experience in a similar position 
    • Progress in Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, FLMI or IIK) 
    • Computer Literate; emphasis on Microsoft Office and EDMS. 

     Technical/ Functional competencies:

    • Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements 
    • Knowledge of insurance products 
    • Good communication and customer service skills. 
    • Should possess functional knowledge, be result oriented and have problem solving skills.  
    • Consistency in adherence to the application of established policies, processes, procedures and tools in achieving compliance requirements, optimal efficiency, and resource utilization. 
    • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage expectations (internal) and other stakeholders who impact performance. 
    • Self-empowerment to enable development of open communication, teamwork and trust that are needed to support performance and customer-service oriented culture. 
    • Ability to take initiative/responsibility to ensure that daily duties, routines and related additional tasks are completed timely.

    HR Hub Intern

    Job Purpose: 

    • To support the remediation of the audit finding relating to missing and/or incomplete approved Job Descriptions (JDs) in employee personnel files.
    • The Intern will support the review and validation of Job Descriptions to ensure all required sections are complete, coordinate the Job Description approval and sign-off process through DocuSign, follow up on outstanding approvals, escalate delays where necessary, and ensure fully approved Job Descriptions are appropriately electronically filed and maintained.
    • The role holder is expected to deliver work of audit-ready accuracy, meet defined turnaround standards, and contribute to the team's service delivery. The role operates at execution level under the direction of the Head of Head of HR Hub & Total Rewards and designated Leads, with no supervisory or budgetary accountability.

    Key responsibilities: 
    Job Description Review & Validation

    • Review assigned Job Descriptions against the approved requirements and instructions provided.
    • Confirm that all required sections are complete and accurate.
    • Flag any missing or inaccurate information for correction before the JD proceeds for sign-off.

    Job Description Sign-Off

    • Send validated Job Descriptions through DocuSign for employee and Line Manager sign off.
    • Track the status of JDs submitted for sign-off.
    • Follow up with relevant stakeholders on pending sign offs.

    Follow-Up & Escalation

    • Monitor outstanding signoffs and ensure timely completion.
    • Escalate delayed or pending signoffs to the relevant HR Hub Associate where necessary.
    • Maintain clear records of actions and outstanding items.

    Filing & Records Management

    • Ensure fully signed Job Descriptions are appropriately electronically and physically filed in the relevant personnel records.
    • Update the JD tracker to reflect the status of each Job Description.
    • Support reconciliation of signed JDs against the assigned employee population.

    Project Progress & Reporting

    • Provide regular updates on the progress of the assigned Job Description population.
    • Highlight outstanding reviews, sign offs and filing actions.
    • Support completion of the assigned population within the agreed project timeline

    General

    • Manage all employee data with ethical stewardship, adhering to Britam's data privacy policies and human capital governance standards.
    • Act within the approved Delegated Authority Matrix; the role carries no independent approval authority. 

    Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a Business-related field. Progress toward CHRP and IHRM membership is an added advantage but not a requirement at entry.
    • 0–2 year of experience in working with large volumes of employee documentation is an added advantage.
    • Strong working proficiency in MS365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Forms) and comfort learning filing and HR systems (e.g., ImageNow, Docusign platforms) quickly.
    • Ability to follow up professionally and persistently with multiple stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining records, trackers, or databases.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with strong personal organisation and follow-through.
    • High integrity and discretion in handling employee data.
    • A proactive, adaptable approach and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, digital-first environment.

    Technical / Functional Competencies: 

    • The ideal candidate should demonstrate knowledge and experience in:
    • HR operational procedures.
    • Recruitment coordination and administration.
    • Employee Induction and onboarding processes.
    • Performance management administration.
    • HR data management and reporting.
    • Working knowledge of external HR regulatory requirements including labour laws.

    Banca Regional Relationship Assistant (6 - Months Fixed - Term Contract)

    Job Purpose:

    • The role holder will be responsible for supporting managing bank partner's regional relationships to ensure that the company achieves its strategic goals in terms of growth, profitability, customer service and the regional revenue targets agreed. Also to implement sales plan actions. The company reserves duties as may be allocated from time to time.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Sales Management and Support

    • Ensure all Britam products selling takes place in new and existing business across all bank partners.
    • Support implementation plans and new innovative sales activities for banca retail life sales through agreed partners.
    • Identify gaps/anomalies and develop ideas that aid and improve performance through monitoring performance in line with set targets.
    • Assist in the implementation and positioning of new focus initiatives.
    • Ensure that general business retention targets are met as per the prescribed parameters.
    • Provide timely feedback on queries, complaints and sales activities.
    • Provide bank partners best practice activation plans with bank partners that close sales gaps.
    • Provide quotations as and when required for the client's bank partner within the agreed time frame.
    • Acquire and retain profitable business in line with acceptable loss ratios.
    • Ensure premium payments for all closed sales are within the company's prescribed control policy.
    • Observe regulatory compliance and internal procedures regarding bancassurance business.
    • Ensure maintenance of a healthy sales pipeline that supports new business onboarding.
    • Ensure timely preparation of required presentations, sales pitches and product write-ups.

    Relationship Building & Sales Management

    • Build, maintain and sustain business relationships with the regional bank partner's team, business development officers, Relationship Managers and Direct Sales Team.
    • Drive management of relationships with all banks and partners to ensure smooth running of the distribution channel in delivering targets.
    • Integrate well with all members of the team in all communications, committed to the team vision and mission within the team and as a team. 

    Reporting

    • Ensure that stipulated reports are prepared and shared within agreed timelines and in the prescribed format.
    • Ensure that monthly expense reports are prepared and submitted within stipulated timelines and procedures.

    Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related degree.
    • Years of experience will be an added advantage.
    • Build and maintain strong business relationships.
    • Proven sales track record in the financial services industry especially insurance.
    • Professional insurance sales/marketing qualification is an added advantage.
    • Highly organised, independent and able to prioritise tasks.
    • Must be flexible, self-motivated and team oriented.

    Technical/Functional competencies:

    • Knowledge of Insurance Regulatory requirements 
    • Knowledge of Insurance Products   
    • Sales & Marketing Management skills
