    Finance Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the finance function and team, ensuring the timely and accurate production of financial information, reporting, and analysis.
    • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders, providing insights into the company's financial performance and areas for improvement.
    • Lead the development and implementation of the company's financial strategy, working closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Prepare and oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring that budgets are accurate, realistic, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and investors.
    • Monitor financial performance against key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations for action where necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage cash flow and treasury operations, including monitoring of bank accounts, cash management, and foreign exchange management.
    • Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of finance staff.
    • Develop and implement financial systems and processes that improve efficiency and accuracy.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) is required.
    • Minimum of 7 years experience in a finance leadership role, ideally within an agricultural or manufacturing business.
    • Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
    • Experience in establishing financial processes and software procurement
    • Experience managing and developing finance teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Ability to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively with other functional areas within the organization.
    • Knowledge of relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
    • Experience working with ERP and financial management systems.
    • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Production Lead/Head of Engineering

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee and supervise the transformation and production of agricultural waste into biochar compost
    • Manage the project by setting requirements, goals, and timelines
    • Operate a fully automated production line, while, maintaining and commissioning various types of automated compost production machinery
    • Coordinate with all compost plant in-charges for requisition making, equipment receiving, storing, troubleshooting, rectifying, regular maintenance, and repairing of automated composting machinery
    • Exceed expectations for quality, cost, and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing and driving engineering excellence
    • Drive key performance indicators across all areas of the Engineering function to ensure that the project is delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards
    • Partake in the recruitment of agricultural engineers and staff and coordinate their training
    • Implement innovative technologies
    • Coordinate with partners for new integrations and tools
    • Ensure compliance with security regulations
    • Prepare and manage the finance and budget of the engineering department
    • Routinely check all risky points/control boards/controlling devices/defective parts and take immediate action to resolve
    • Ensuring preventive and downtime maintenance within the scheduled time


    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's / Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably, agricultural engineering or similar
    • Conversational Mandarin speaking ability (preferred but not required!)
    • At least 4 years of leadership experience in a factory or Agri-processing facility
    • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience and a 2:1 or above in a relevant form of engineering
    • Demonstrable experience in leading an engineering function with a proven track record in strategic engineering leadership delivering effective engineering strategies, policies, processes, and systems
    • Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
    • Proven project management and supplier experience
    • Experience in operating and influencing at a strategic level
    • Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive bio-engineering processes, components, and design techniques
    • Knowledge of composting and a passion to create environmental change
    • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
    • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders, partners, and suppliers
    • A strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Results-orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines

    General Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee operations, and ensure processes, practices, and output are constantly reviewed and improved
    • Ensure long-term capital development and expansion goals, work to ensure adequate revenue growth and finance
    • Employ, manage, and guide workers, including training and coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
    • Implement administrative and operational policies
    • Oversee the administration of customer accounts and sales, along with, logistics and transportation
    • Create and maintain budgets, keep an eye on monthly financials, and ensure that financial policies are being applied correctly
    • To improve and foster new and existing connections with other possible Agribusiness partner groups, regulators, suppliers, etc.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's / Master's degree in business or environmental studies, or a combination of education and experience
    • An overall 10 years of professional experience, in a managerial position or similar
    • 2+ years of management experience in a similar industry/plant, particularly, waste-management, with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction
    • Experience managing fleet vehicles and transportation and planning logistics
    • Knowledge of composting and a passion to create environmental change
    • Knowledge of best practices in human resources; experience leading and developing staff for success, and building a cohesive team
    • Strong organizational management with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
    • Adaptability and proven ability to problem-solve
    • Highly effective written and verbal communicator with the ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture
    • Advanced financial management skills and proven ability to develop and manage organizational budgets
    • Collaborative working style with good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for creating partnerships
    • Strong logistical planning acumen
    • Proven track record of revenue development success through various revenue streams
