    Sustainability Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Design, implement, monitor, and evaluate progress of the KCB Group Sustainability management strategy and programmes as envisioned in the KCB Green Agenda.
    2. Develop and coordinate implementation sustainable organizational policies, processes or practices.
    3. Train, implement and integrate Social and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) into the business process in credit, corporate and retail. Design and implement awareness programmes for employees and other stakeholders which include e-learning
    4. Coordinate and support internal business stakeholders in the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
    5. Develop methodologies, procedures to assess, evaluate and monitor the viability or success of sustainability initiatives and programs.
    6. Research on emerging environmental sustainability issues, concerns, or stakeholder interests and advise the business appropriately.
    7. Prepare communication plans for the Group`s sustainability initiatives and strategies in line to the international best practices to various key Bank`s stakeholders, they include campaigns etc.
    8. Manage the sustainability reporting process for annual report and integrated reporting.
    9. Implement and manage the bank’s sustainability database and knowledge management.
    10. Review sustainability program objectives, progress, or status to ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
    11. Identify and coordinate sustainability partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
    12. Represent the bank in appropriate forums for purposes of learning, exposure and sharing.
    13. Identify and evaluate pilot projects or programs to enhance the Group`s sustainability agenda which will Identify opportunities for green initiatives.
    14. Assess and evaluate feasible international and regional frameworks and principles for sign up to aid Group`s sustainability positioning.

    Requirements

    To be considered for the role, the successful applicant should have the following:

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences or a Related Field is required.
    2. Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences or a Related Sustainability Field will be added advantage.
    3. At least 5 years experience in managing Environmental or Sustainability Programmes.
    4. Professional Qualification in a Sustainability Related Course or Certification in Environmental & Social Governance is required.
    5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage people/teams and diverse stakeholders.
    6. Excellent writing & presentation skills.

    Oracle Database Administrator

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for support of Oracle database systems including but not limited to availability, performance and reliability of database systems.
    2. Responsible for interfacing with application development teams to ensure applications fit within the Oracle database systems with scalability, reliability and security designed and implemented from the onset. 
    3. Perform database performance analysis, tuning, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance to ensure maximum performance.
    4. Implement database backup and recovery strategies that meet KCB’s recovery and availability requirements.
    5. Setup and document database related processes and procedures   for Business Continuity.
    6. Recommend best practices and ensure they are implemented and incorporated into DBA procedures.
    7. Diagnose and solve complex problems including non-functional problems such as performance issues with Oracle Engineered Systems by identifying workarounds and driving resolution.
    8. Provide technical guidance for design, development, integration and testing of production Oracle databases.
    9. Responsible for ensuring conformance to security standards for all Oracle databases.
    10. Design BCP and HA solutions for Oracle database systems in order to achieve required uptime SLA for mission critical applications.

    Requirements:

    To be considered for the role, the successful applicant should have the following:

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in ICT related field or Electrical Engineering.
    2. 10 years’ progressive experience in Information Technology with at least 7 years’ experience in database management in environments with Oracle RAC, Dataguard, RMAN and Exadata Engineered Systems.
    3. Certification in Oracle – Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) is required, Oracle Certified Master (OCM) is preferred.  
    4. Experience in Opensource SQL database (MySQL/Maria DB, PostgreSQL) an added advantage.
    5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
