    Associate Director/Senior Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

    Ref 3/2020

    We are currently looking for Associate Director/Senior Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning to support us in business development and delivery for some key client accounts and in the field of renewable energy, climate change & resilience.

    Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the successful candidate will lead our monitoring, evaluation & learning (MEL) pillar. He/she will combine business development with delivery and management of engagements. It will involve coordination and oversight of our activities in MEL including results measurement and impact. The role will require travel across Africa and occasionally to donor countries. The successful candidate must have the following profile;

    Profile

    • Subject matter specialist in monitoring, evaluation and learning including evidence-based results measurement and impact
    • Experience in designing and implementing MEL frameworks and systems including impact assessments
    • In-depth knowledge of M&E tools, methodologies, theories of change and data analysis packages including SPSS and STATA
    • Demonstrated ability to generate business and deliver work in the MEL/Impact sector
    • A Masters degree in Statistics, Economics or relevant field
    • At least 8 years’ experience working with donors and international development agencies including inAfrica
    • Established relationships and networks with donors and other players in the MEL space
    • Well-developed proposal, report writing, thought leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

    Associate Director – Business Development

    We are currently looking for Associate Director – Business Development to support us in business development and delivery for some key client accounts.

    Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the Associate Director, Business Development will lead our business development efforts and drive business growth, with a particular focus on DFID/FCO, UK. The role will also involve some delivery and management of engagements. It will require travel across Africa and occasionally to donor countries. The successful candidate will have the following profile:

    Profile

    • In-depth knowledge of the development sector with established relationships and a network of contacts
    • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, action-oriented leader and professional with a passion for development
    • Ability to lead and manage a team in a large professional services firm
    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus a Masters and/or professional qualification in Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar field
    • Substantial experience in Africa with a minimum of 12 years working with/providing advisory services to international development agencies, in particular DFID as well as others such as World Bank, USAID, Nordics, Foundations
    • Demonstrated business development credentials and capacity to win business
    • Proven, well-developed proposal, report writing, communication and interpersonal skill

    • Subject matter specialist in renewable energy, climate change, resilience and finance
    • Experience of performing environmental, social and safeguarding assessments
    • Demonstrated ability to generate business and deliver work in the REACT sector
    • A Bachelor’s degree plus a Masters and/or professional qualification/certification in a relevant subject
    • At least 10 years’ experience in the field including working with donors and international development agencies
    • Established relationships and networks with donors and other players in the REACT space
    • Well-developed proposal, report writing, thought leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
