    Real Time Amplification Manager, East & Central Africa

    KEY WORKING PARAMETERS

    • The geographic scope for this role is East and Central Africa countries (subject to change)
    • The Real Time Amplification manager will develop the social media plans and manage the real-time amplification of the OU portfolio (calendar, content and media) at a country-level.
    • Ensure that we have one presence, one voice and one calendar for our brands in all the various social media channels, that are connected to global strategies and guidelines as well as relevant to the OU.
    • Be the main contact point for social media partners (FB, Twitter, Google..) at a country level.
    • Work in close collaboration with PS to ensure the social media cycle (listen-speak-react-amplify) is being followed to enriched to deliver the right conversation at the right time to the right consumer/shopper.
    • Establish a routine with the crisis management team in order to solve potential issues in social media in a timely manner.
    • Lift and shift best practices from other OUs and global teams in how to establish an effective and efficient media social media plans. Implement a single way-of-approaching media and social within the OU.
    • The Real Time Amplification manager will carry out duties individually while interacting regularly with the global IMX team, key players in the OU IMX team, OU Category Leaders, Creative Strategists and Brand Managers and the Franchise Marketing teams.
    • The scope of role will be one country or multi-country/regional with flexibility to increase or decrease markets.

    KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS

    • Media Planning Strategy, social media (including content) and Real Time Experience (8-10 years).
    • Experience working on agencies and technology vehicles is preferred.
    • Preference for experience developing non-conventional communication plans, with heavy focus on digital marketing and story doing.

    Work Focus

    • Deep understanding of the evolved media landscape and e-commerce.
    • Expertise in working with different external partners (i.e.: agencies, production houses, media companies, influencers).
    • Ability to work in Agile cross-functional teams.

    Communication Focus

    • Role will require frequent communication with OU Consumer and Shopper Media lead, OU IMX lead, OU Category teams, Franchise Marketing lead and teams, global IMX team.

    • Role will also interact frequently with external parties, particularly agencies and media companies.

    Language

    • Fluent in English, fluency in Swahili is preferred.

    Channel Strategy Fragmented Senior Manager

    Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

    • Design game-changing Channel Strategies and guidelines for the Operating Unit that are deeply rooted in shopper and channel insights, to drive significant basket/purchase Incidence increase by connecting seamlessly with relevant occasions in each channel and ultimately drive sustainable and accelerated growth for the System (Net Sale Revenue & Margin expansion)
    • Integrate Category and Revenue Growth Management /Segmentation strategies with digital/outlet-level data on execution & performance.
    • Develop Customer Partnership Program business case and ensure its pilot & rollout across the Fragmented Trade in Africa (potential to target at least 20% of the total Universe of Traditional Trade customers).
    • Similarly, connect with Market Assets to incorporate equipment recommendations and innovation.
    • Derive segmented execution plans and rules based on robust business cases, grounded in solid expectations of distribution, velocity and required support for successful execution (e.g. equipment requirements, salesforce training, etc.)
    • Optimize our System execution across channels (pre-store and in-store) in close collaboration with the Franchise Units and Bottlers based on superior understanding of execution levers and how to optimize desired outcomes (availability, number and type of adjacencies, rate of sale, strike rate, equipment placement).
    • Advance our long-term occasions development ensuring relevant innovation with edge; inclusive of equipment strategies with edge and scale, leveraging Commercial Beverages Category Vision as well as commercial execution approaches.
    • Define key execution and performance metrics for tracking and opportunity identification at scale, to understand optimization potential for our channel/ customer and turn into specific action by initiating the right interventions to accelerate growth highlighting them with General Manager’s and bottlers in a solution-oriented way with the objective to elevate our system capability.

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree

    Related Work Experience:

    • 10+ years of leadership experience in Revenue Growth Management or Commercial planning and execution with strong skills in Commercial and Channel Strategy, Revenue Growth Management, Segmentation, VTM, Innovation and Portfolio strategy.
    • Proven Strategic and Analytical Skills as well as outstanding influencing skills.
    • Ability to think from planning to execution and solid system commercial and brand management.
    • Desirable to have candidates with Bottler experience.
