    Internal Audit Assistant

    The successful candidates will be team players with the ability to effectively add value to enabling good patient outcomes and shape best clinical and non-clinical practice.

    Ref: IAA/07/17

    Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the successful applicants will participate in the executing the approved audit plan in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and International Standards on Financial Reporting (IFRS).

    • Participating in planning the scope and methodology of audits.
    • Conducting routine audits as per the audit plan and as agreed with the Internal Audit Manager.
    • Reviewing and determine the accuracy and reliability of accounting records across the hospital.
    • Reviewing internal controls and system processes for assurance and validity of data.
    • Preparing working papers that demonstrate work done in the field, referenced and documented.
    • Maintaining confidentiality of records and information obtained during the course of audit work.
    • Justifying audit findings by use of audit working papers.
    • Writing and provide draft audit reports for review by the Internal Audit Manager.
    • Maintaining good relations with Hospital staff.
    • Carrying out spot checks and special assignments as directed by Internal Audit Manager.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • CPA II or ACCA II.
    • Business degree in Commerce majoring in Accounting, Economics or Business Management will be an added advantage.
    • IT literate and proficient in accounting software applications.
    • One year progressive work experience in accounting.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    Systems Administrator

    The successful candidates will be team players with the ability to effectively add value to enabling good patient outcomes and shape best clinical and non-clinical practice.

    Reporting to the Senior System Administrator, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:

    • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
    • Offer technical support and maintenance of the ICT server infrastructure so as to ensure that system availability objectives of the hospital are met.
    • Enforce defined standards, procedures, policies and best practices in management of ICT Infrastructure.
    • Ensuring adequate data protection measures are in place and that these are tested on a regular basis.
    • Monitoring of ICT infrastructure within the hospital so as to ensure an appropriate level of system availability.
    • Keep abreast with current trends in ICT so as to identify emerging technologies that have the potential to create value to the hospital.
    • Providing general ICT user support as will be allocated through helpdesk.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
    • MCSE certification
    • Certification/experience on virtualization and enterprise storage technologies will be a definite advantage
    • 3 years’ experience in Information Technology with at least 1 year hands on experience in administration of Ms Exchange, Active Directory, enterprise storage infrastructure.
    • Knowledge/Experience with cloud technologies will be an added advantage
    • Must have good understanding of user environment management, including desktops/laptops, profile management, software delivery, etc
    • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.

    Radiotherapist

    The successful candidates will be team players with the ability to effectively add value to enabling good patient outcomes and shape best clinical and non-clinical practice.

    Reporting to the Lead Radiotherapist, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:

    • Oversee the daily set-up of work location and patient schedule for treatment and maintain efficient patient flow.
    • Verify and deliver ionizing radiation treatment to patients in a safe and accurate manner based on the prescribed treatment plan.
    • Localize and simulate patients based on prescribed parameters.
    • Prepare moulds and other immobilization devices to assist in the accurate treatment.
    • Monitor and observe patients receiving ionizing radiation for any unusual reactions and respond accordingly.
    • Ensure quality assurance is achieved on equipment, accessories and treatment plans.
    • Maintain accurate database of patient information and treatment plans.
    • Follow hospital and radiation oncology policies and procedures.
    • Any other duty assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Diploma in radiation therapy/diploma in radiography with a certificate in radiation therapy
    • Valid license from Kenya Radiation Protection Board with prior experience of working with linear accelerators and simulation equipment
    • Delivery of radiotherapy in a facility equipped with 3d – conformal radiotherapy, multileaf  collimation and HDR branchy therapy will be an added advantage
    • Two(2) years work experience
    • Detail oriented
    • Conscientious
    • Good analytical skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills

    Pharmacist

    Reporting to the Chief Pharmacist, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:

    • Define, monitor and supervise the implementation of high standard of drug storage, usage, cost effectiveness, cleanliness and service delivery to all internal and external customers.
    • To establish and manage the implementation of effective service standard to ensure that patients and customers are served effectively and without necessary delay.
    • Provide education and direction on medicines to user departments, medical doctors and pharmacy staff and to participate in training programs of the Nairobi hospital to ensure correct procedures, regulations and drug use.
    • Initiate and supervise the maintenance of appropriate safety and security measure in pharmacy practice and advise on the security and use of medicines through the hospital.
    • To ensure smooth running of the pharmacy and keep the pharmacy well stocked and tidy.
    • To keep tight control of pharmacy stock items at the pharmacy level.
    • To participate in the formulation of hospital policies on drug use e.g. infection control-disinfection policy, antibiotic policy and drug administration policy and to implement.
    • To participate in pharmacy on call service, evening/weekend and holiday rota according to hospital and work requirements.
    • To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Pharmacist.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree
    • At least 5 years in pharmacy practice
    • Registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
    • Possession of valid annual practicing license.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
