    Senior Associate, Portfolio Administrator

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversees the team’s day-to-day operations, tracks progress towards goals, and reports results to management
    • Ensuring overall scheme compliance in line with the regulatory requirements, risk management and internal audit
    • Ensuring that service level agreements and deed of adherence for all employers are executed and filed respectively with the regulator
    • Ensuring compliance with the Trust Deed & Rules, regulatory requirements as laid down by regulatory bodies including Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA), Kenya Revenue Authority (Income Tax), Capital Markets Authority (CMA), Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) and self-regulating bodies such as Association of Retirement Benefits Schemes (ARBS).
    • Coordinating with the client and scheme service providers (Trustee, fund managers, actuary and auditors) to ensure smooth and timely processing of tasks
    • Ensure accurate and complete member records are in place.
    • Validating and processing contributions from the sponsor
    • Ensuring that statements to members are done and dispatched promptly as laid down in the SLA.
    • Ensuring that computations of members’ withdrawal benefits are done correctly and timely
    • Tracking participating employers with outstanding contribution on month to month basis
    • Ensure timely quarterly submission of accurate reports to the regulator, the RBA.
    • Calculating Individual transfer and total surrender values of scheme winding up.
    • Liaising with auditors and other service providers for smooth audit.
    • May be required to attend Management Committee meetings on administration issues.
    • Constantly review and recommend systems and processes enhancements / development.
    • Ensuring that enquiries from intermediaries and clients are addressed fully and promptly
    • Assisting in preparation of management report for the monthly meetings.
    • Executing any other duties, which may be assigned from time to time.

    ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline from a reputable university.
    • Professional qualification(s) in Finance e.g. CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent is considered added advantage.

    EXPERIENCE

    • At least Six (6) years’ experience in retirement benefits/schemes administration.

    Branch Manager, Business Development

    Role summary

    Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned region and/or market   segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers  

    Roles and responsibility

    Sales and Marketing

    • Promote/sell/secure new business from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
    • Exhibit a Production target consistency of a minimum of 5 years above Kshs 200m
    • Demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
    • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
    • Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
    • Embark on personal visits and make presentations to medium size groups and up-market individuals,
    • Promote brokers and agents to pursue clients at least two months in advance to invite renewal instructions,
    • Ensure that individual business acquisition targets (bat) and customer retention targets are met,
    • Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the segment.

    Operational Procedures

    • Ensure that proposal forms and all relevant client documentation contain all the relevant personal details of the proposer,
    • Ensure that accurate risk details and closings are posted online to facilitate preparation of quotations, risk notes and policy documents,
    • Provide high standard servicing of all accounts brought in, including regular follow up of issues raised by clients,
    • Ensure strict adherence to practices, procedures and policy stipulated in the Market Outreach operations manual, including the Code of Ethics,
    • Enter all business contact and details of daily movement, including regular visits to brokers, agents and direct clients into the computer.
    • Complete customer care feedback forms during visits to brokers, agents and direct clients and liaising with supervisors (Deputy Manager, BD) about operational issues raised by clients,
    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints,
    • Coordinate sales effort with sales team, accounting, and underwriting department,
    • Analyze the market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization,
    • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services,

    Learning and Growth

    • Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with business development and underwriting,
    • Continue to build personal skill set by participating in in-house programmes (including e-learning), customer related courses and seminars as deemed necessary to expand product and system knowledge,
    • Understand and actively support and advocate the organization’s mission, vision and core values.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Marketing or other business-related discipline
    •  Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK)
    •  Member of CII or IIK
    • Proficiency in IT system support skills
    • Proficiency in Presentation skills and use of Power point presentations

    Experience

    • At least 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing – experience Insurance industry will be an added advantage

    Associate II: Business Development Nanyuki

    Roles and Responsibilty

    • Cultivate robust strategic partnerships and relationships with assigned intermediaries.
    • Efficiently navigate the sales cycle and maintain a value-driven service approach.
    • Implement optimal Client Relationship Management practices to meet business objectives.
    • Track and report performance against agreed sales and retention targets.
    • Spearhead revenue growth by overseeing daily sales activities of assigned intermediaries.
    • Keep clients informed about both new and existing products.
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless and timely service delivery to clients/intermediaries.
    • Develop and promptly deliver quotations and tender documents to clients/intermediaries.
    • Contribute to departmental planning and budgeting processes as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with credit control policies through cash and carry and debt collection initiatives.
    • Foster intermediary engagement through visits, performance reviews, support, training, and motivation to drive business growth.
    • Organize and execute market activations and outreach events in strategic locations through visits or alternative methods.
    • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities/threats arising from such activities

    •  A minimum of a business degree in a related field; additional qualifications in sales and marketing would be an added advantage.
    • Training on sales and marketing.
    • Professional qualification(s) in insurance e.g. ACII, FCII or equivalent considered an added advantage

    Experience

    • 2 years’ experience in Retail or B2C sales and marketing preferably in the financial services industry.
