KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Warmly welcome patients and visitors, provide information, directions, and offer support, particularly to anxious individuals.
• Ensure an efficient flow of patients through the department by coordinating check-ins and check-outs and notifying clinical staff of patient arrivals.
• Book, schedule, and reschedule patient appointments and procedures. using the relevant hospital systems.
• Register new patients and verify/update existing demographic and insurance information in the Electronic Patient Records (EPR) or patient administration systems.
• Strictly adhere to data protection and confidentiality policies when handling: sensitive patient information.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in a business related course.
• A minimum of two years of working experience in a similar role, preferably within a busy hospital or healthcare front office/reception.
• Familiarity with Medical terminology. Knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures is often preffered.
• Experience with Healthcare Software: Basic proficiency in handling hospital management systems or electronic health record systems (eg HMIS, Medisoft, or Health Information Systems).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree/Diploma in clinical medical imaging sciences
• Be registered with the KNRA
• Valid practicing license from KNRA
• Minimum of 2 years' experience
• Experience in ultrasound is an added advantage
