    Revenue Assistant – Meter Reading

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure effective and efficient meter reading of all connections as per the approved schedule

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out systematic meter reading as scheduled in duty roaster, and ensure the readings made are accurate
    • Submit meter readings of all read connections on daily basis
    • Report illegal connections to the supervisor for appropriate action
    • Report suspected underground and other visible leaks to the supervisor for appropriate action
    • Report any faulty meters to the supervisor for appropriate action
    • Monitoring of all key consumers as per the schedule on daily basis
    • Attend to all assigned customer complaints as per the service delivery charter

    Qualifications

    • Certificate in meter reading from a recognized institution, Trade test certificate in plumbing Grade III or an equivalent;
    • Basic computer skills
    • KCSE Certificate D+ minimum
    • At least One (1) year relevant experience in a reputable organization.

    Stores & Logistics Clerk III

    Job Purpose

    • To assist in ensuring continuous availability of required goods in the stores and prompt issuance to authorized users as required

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide the required data to the supervisor for generating monthly and periodic reports for review by the management
    • Assist in maintaining safety and security of goods in the stores
    • Assist in coordination of inspection and acceptance of goods and services received and report writing
    • Assist in ensuring all stock levels are observed and maintained
    • Adhering to regulations and policies on supply chain management;
    • Receiving of materials from suppliers and ensuring posting to the right codes
    • Issuance of authorized goods to user as per the set guidelines
    • Assist in generating monthly and periodic reports for review by the management
    • Participate in quarterly and annual stock taking for prudent inventory management

    Qualifications

    • Certificate in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Commerce/Business Administration (Supplies Management option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Relevant work experience of one (1) year in stores management

    Technical Assistant – Waste Water III

    Job Purpose

    • To carry out effective operations and maintenance of the sewer network and treatment plants as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Undertake operations and maintenance of the sewer network and trunk sewer lines, pump stations and treatment works
    • Attend to sewer blockages and other faults in the system and rectify in a timely and economic manner
    • Prepare records of the operations
    • Undertake preventative maintenance to ensure proper functionality and maintenance of the sewer network, equipment and plants
    • Control the operational valves within the treatment facilities
    • Timely removal of screens and grit in the treatment processes
    • Monitor waste water influent at the inlet
    • Conducting regular sewer network patrol and reporting on any fault(s)
    • Train students on attachment

    Qualifications

    • Certificate in water supply/plumbing from a recognized institution, Trade test certificate in plumbing Grade III or an equivalent;
    • Basic computer skills
    • KCSE Certificate D+ minimum
    • At least one (1) year relevant experience in a reputable organization

    Technical Assistant – Intake III

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure efficient and effective water production for distribution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensuring effective and efficient maintenance of water quality through routine proper removal and disposal of all debris and fallen leaves at the screens/strainers
    • Ensuring effective adherence to the established maintenance schedule for the dam, other structures and relevant storage tanks in liaison with the supervisor
    • Ensuring timely removal of floating matters in the dam and intakes including water weeds
    • Ensure proper and effective protection of all the structures at the dam through daily monitoring and reporting on all security issues through the supervisor
    • Ensuring timely reporting of any encroachment and interference by external parties/entities including the surrounding community
    • Ensuring proper and effective distribution of water from the dam
    • Ensuring timely and economic repair of any leakages or breakdown in the relevant distribution system and raw water mains in liaison with the supervisor
    • Ensuring regular monitoring, reading and proper recording of raw water bulk meters
    • Ensuring timely and effective dosing of chlorine as directed
    • Ensuring proper care and safety of all issued tools and equipment and full accountability of requested/issued materials and labour/casuals
    • Ensuring regular patrols of raw water mains and reporting of any leaks/burst

    Qualifications

    • Certificate in water supply/plumbing/Non-Revenue Water Management from a recognized institution, Trade test certificate in plumbing Grade III or an equivalent;
    • Basic computer skills
    • KCSE Certificate D+ minimum
    • At least one (1) year relevant experience in a reputable organization

    Technical Assistant – Water Distribution III

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure efficient operation and maintenance of the water distribution network ensuring quality and adequate water of supply to all customers

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensuring effective operation and maintenance of water distribution network as per the developed maintenance schedule
    • Ensuring efficient and effective implementation of developed rationing program to guarantee equitable and efficient water distribution
    • Ensuring timely reporting and replacement of all malfunctioning appurtenances
    • Undertake timely, effective and efficient reporting and repair of all unidentified bursts and leaks
    • Ensure regular maintenance of storage tanks as per approved maintenance schedule
    • Identify the sectional needs for budget formulation
    • Ensuring full accountability of total water supplied in every DMA and zone in the scheme for achievement of recommended NRW levels
    • Undertake effective rehabilitation of water distribution networks

    Qualifications

    • Certificate in water supply/plumbing/Non-Revenue Water Management from a recognized institution, Trade test certificate in plumbing Grade III or an equivalent;
    • Basic computer skills
    • KCSE Certificate D+ minimum
    • At least one (1) year relevant experience in a reputable organization

    Technical Assistant

    Job Purpose

    • To undertake Non- Revenue Water management activities for achievement of set NRW reduction targets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install master, zonal and sub zonal meters at all abstraction and key distribution points
    • Install and service pressure reducing valves and maintain the data logs
    • To undertake minimum night flows to detect difficult underground water losses
    • Undertake regular proactive leak detection within area of jurisdiction to minimize water losses
    • Attend to the meter status report to minimize cases of illegal connections, stopped, covered, faulty, misty and mis-aligned dial meters to minimize apparent water losses
    • Utilize leak detection equipment to detect suspected underground water leakage
    • Monitor terminated and disconnected accounts and report for appropriate actions
    • Monitor zero consuming accounts and report for appropriate actions
    • Participate in identifying sectional needs for budget formulation

    Qualifications

    • Certificate in water supply/plumbing/Non-Revenue Water Management from a recognized institution, Trade test certificate in plumbing Grade III or an equivalent;
    • Basic computer skills
    • KCSE Certificate D+ minimum
