    Quality Control Inspector (Automotive)-40k

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet established quality standards.
    • Conduct quality inspections throughout all stages of the production process using approved inspection procedures and checklists.
    • Verify that finished products comply with approved drawings, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Interpret engineering drawings and communicate quality requirements to production teams.
    • Approve or reject work based on established quality standards.
    • Identify quality defects, non-conformities, and process gaps requiring corrective action.
    • Conduct root cause analysis of recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
    • Work closely with production teams to implement corrective and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate inspection records, defect reports, and corrective action documentation.
    • Prepare and submit periodic quality inspection reports.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
    • Promote adherence to workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
    • At least one (1) year of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, or related industrial environment.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
    • Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and quality assurance processes.
    • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and record management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for vehicle body structures and automotive components.
    • Prepare engineering drawings to support fabrication and assembly processes.
    • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry regulations, engineering standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
    • Continuously improve existing designs to enhance safety, durability, manufacturability, and overall product quality.
    • Develop, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for costing, production, and engineering purposes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
    • Demonstrated experience in engineering design, quality assurance, or automotive manufacturing.
    • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD design software.
    • Experience preparing engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and engineering documentation.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
