    Operations - Nomad

    The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall condition, readiness, and daily operational standards of Nomad Beach Resort. This includes all guest rooms, public areas, and operational spaces.
    The role directly oversees Housekeeping and Maintenance (both with existing supervisors), ensuring strong coordination, clear communication, and consistent delivery of high standards across both departments.
    Key Responsibilities
    Rooms & Property Management

    • Oversee room readiness, cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation.
    • Conduct daily inspections, including departure room checks, and ensure all issues are logged and resolved.
    • Ensure smooth handover between housekeeping and maintenance for all room-related tasks.
    • Maintain standards for rooms, turndown, public areas, pool, and grounds.

    Housekeeping & Maintenance Oversight

    • Directly manage housekeeping and maintenance supervisors and coordinate their teams.
    • Ensure effective communication between both departments and timely completion of all tasks.
    • Oversee preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, laundry coordination, and tailor/linen repairs.
    • Ensure safety inspections are carried out and issues addressed promptly.

    Cross-Department Coordination

    • Work closely with Front Office, F&B, and Events teams to ensure rooms and spaces are ready for arrivals, departures, and events.
    • Coordinate event setup and breakdown with relevant departments.
    • Ensure operational readiness across all guest-facing areas.

    Quality Control & Reporting

    • Conduct regular property walkthroughs and enforce standards.
    • Track maintenance and housekeeping issues through to completion.
    • Ensure consistent cleanliness, functionality, and presentation across the property.

    Front Office - Nomad

    The Front Office Manager leads reception, reservations, and guest relations, and is the first point of contact for all guests. The role ensures a seamless guest journey from booking through to departure and requires strong guest presence, communication, and coordination across departments.
    Key Responsibilities
    Front Office Operations

    • Oversee reception, reservations, and guest relations as one function.
    • Act as first point of contact for arriving and in-house guests.

    Team Leadership & Coordination

    • Lead, train, and supervise the front office team.
    • Conduct daily briefings and shift handovers.
    • Ensure team alignment, communication, and service standards.
    • Prepare schedules and daily task allocation.

    Systems, Finance & Administration

    • Use Opera PMS and systems for reservations, billing, and reporting.
    • Ensure accuracy of bookings, billing, and cash handling.
    • Maintain clear communication across all front office functions.

    Cross-Department Liaison

    • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Operations, F&B, and Management. Communicate arrivals, requests, and guest movements daily.
    • Support smooth operational flow across all departments.

    • Ensure warm, professional, and personalised guest experience.

    Reservations & Distribution Manager

    Position Summary

    • The Group Reservations & Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing the central reservations function across The Sands Kenya properties, while managing OTA distribution, rate parity, and contracting.
    • The role leads the reservations team, ensures accurate booking and billing processes, supports revenue performance across all channels, and maintains strong coordination between properties.

    Key Responsibilities

    Revenue & Distribution

    • Manage OTA listings, availability, content, and optimisation.
    • Monitor rate parity and distribution channel performance.
    • Manage OTA, agent, and corporate contracting.
    • Identify booking trends and revenue opportunities.

    Reservations Team Management

    • Lead, train, and support the central reservations team.
    • Ensure consistent standards, communication, and response times.
    • Provide operational cover during staff leave and absences.
    • Develop procedures and improve reservations workflows.

    Reservations & Billing Operations

    • Oversee direct reservations via email, WhatsApp, phone, website, and agent enquiries.
    • Ensure accurate handling of bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests.
    • Oversee deposits, invoices, refunds, and reservation-related billing.
    • Coordinate with Finance regarding payments and outstanding balances.

    Cross-Property Coordination

    • Liaise with all Sands Kenya properties regarding availability, rates, and booking requirements. Communicate reservation activity, special requests, and operational needs.
    • Ensure consistency of reservations procedures across all properties.

    Sales & Marketing Coordinator

    Position Summary

    • The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing B2B relationships, agent communications, and trade marketing activities for The Sand Kenya.
    • The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with agents and partners, supporting sales growth through consistent follow-up, and coordinating trade and marketing activities such as fam trips, trade shows, and guest communications. The role is also responsible for selected administrative coordination tasks supporting staff logistics.

    Key Responsibilities
    B2B Sales & Agent Relations

    • Manage communication and follow-up with travel agents, partners, and B2B clients.
    • Conduct regular sales calls and maintain strong agent relationships.
    • Support rate and product communication to trade partners.
    • Assist in maintaining updated agent databases and contact records.

    Trade Marketing & Events

    • Coordinate fam trips, site visits, and hosted experiences.
    • Prepare and coordinate logistics for trade shows and industry events.
    • Ensure smooth execution of all trade-related marketing activities.
    • Liaise with operations teams to ensure guest experience during hosted visits.

    Marketing Support

    • Assist with email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
    • Support distribution of offers, updates, and seasonal promotions to trade partners.
    • Maintain consistent brand messaging across communications.

    Coordination & Administrative Support

    • Support general administrative coordination related to staff movements and arrivals including flight bookings, travel arrangements, and visas.
