Main Purpose of the Role

• Reporting to the Optometrist In-charge, the incumbent shall be tasked with conducting routine eye examinations, in a bid to diagnose and detect refractive errors and offer appropriate corrections.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate refraction, Visual Acuity/ Intra- ocular pressures, IPD measurement for patients using observation, instruments and pharmaceuticals agents.
• When patients come with their own glasses, confirm their prescriptions and recommend corrections if required.
• Analyse test results and assist in developing a treatment plan for patients.
• Perform markings for progressive and bifocal lenses.
• File and sign pre-authorization insurance forms.
• Handle customer’s questions and concerns in regard to refraction.
• Record test outcomes accurately in the patient’s files.
• Clean testing instruments and machines in readiness for use in patients.
• Ensure proper storage of testing instruments.
• Take part in company projects and carry out any other tasks that may be assigned to you by your Line manager and/ or any other person placed in authority over you.
• Safe handling of equipment/instruments and timely reporting of the breakages.
• Participate in the training of the optometrist trainees and ophthalmic assistants.

Knowledge and Experience Required

• Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution (a degree will be an added advantage)
• Minimum two years’ experience as optometrist.

Main Purpose of the Role 
The incumbent shall be responsible for receiving patients at the reception, bill patients for services required, manage appointments and respond to queries as appropriate. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Driver Duties 
• Receive and welcome clients at the front office and determine their needs. 
• Direct clients to service points as appropriate. 
• Answer promptly incoming calls, assisting the caller or directing them as appropriate. 
• Register patients into the Hospital Information Management and the ERP systems. 
• Generate the patients’ files through the EMR system. 
• Review patients’ notes to determine appropriate service sought. 
• Schedule appointments for patients and ensure that details are well communicated to them, verbally and through their appointment cards. 
• Bill patients for consultation and ensure that the payments are received through Mpesa or the banking system. 
• Carry out reconciliations for all the monies received and sharing the reports of the same at the end of the day with the Operations Officer. 
• Provide feedback to the Front Office Coordinator on company policies and procedures, and constantly look out for potential changes which could improve operational efficiency at the Front Office. 
• Take part in company projects and/or any other duties as assigned by your Line Manager, or any other person placed in authority over you. 

Knowledge and Experience Required

• Certificate in Front Office/Customer Care Management/ Client Relations/ Public Relations shall be an added advantage 
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role. 
• Must be computer literate 
• Previous working experience with Hospital Information Management and ERP systems shall be an added advantage.

Main Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Cashier shall be tasked with receiving payments from clients and compiling and reporting on the revenue collected at the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, recording, and issuing receipts for payments received from patients.
• Recording and issuing of clearance forms to patients.
• Daily reconciliation of ETR receipts with actual sales.
• Preparation, reconciliation, filing and sharing the daily, weekly, and monthly revenue report for the branch.
• Completion and reconciliation of credit sales, timely and accurate processing of claim forms
• Any other responsibility that may be given by the Line Manager or any other person placed in authority overthem.

Knowledge and Experience Required

• CPA part III
• Two years’ experience in a similar role.
• Must be available to on- board immediately.
