    Education Sector Sales Officer

    Key Requirements

    • Must have previously worked with a publishing company
    • Previously worked with an institution suppling directly to schools
    • An institution supplying directly to schools.
    • Worked in bank/Sacco/microfinance in the education department.
    • Has direct relationship with private school directors.
    • Bachelors or Diploma in a sales related field or any business related field
    • Fix it right first-time attitude.
    • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Must maintain a professional appearance.
    • Willing to travel.
    • Previous or current experience in a similar industry will be an added advantage.

    Business Development Officer / Sales Officer

    • The BDO will be responsible for marketing the company’s products; compiling and providing the Sales Manager with appropriate information; planning, coordinating, and controlling the daily activities regarding commercial and technical sales matters; handling customer complaints; tele-marketing; setting and achieving sales targets and carrying out sales forecasts and territory planning for the Department

    Roles/Duties & Responsibilities

    • Achieve direct sales and tele-sales targets assigned by the Management
    • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
    • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
    • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
    • Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
    • Ensure the availability of stock for sales and activations/presentations.
    • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions/or conferences.
    • Negotiate/close deals and handle customer’s complaints or objections.
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve best results.
    • Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
    • Work closely with the dealers &channel partners.
    • Support in any other task as directed by Management.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Business-related field.
    • Minimum 3 years work experience.
    • Ability to fluently communicate in English & Kiswahili.
    • Problem solving skills.
    • Fix it right first-time attitude.
    • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Must maintain a professional appearance.
    • Willing to travel.

    Roles/Duties & Responsibilities

    Sales Strategy and Planning

    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, customer segments, and competitive threats
    • Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets, forecast sales projections, and develop strategies to achieve objectives
    • Lead, motivate, and coach a team of banking sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
    • Provide ongoing training, feedback, and support to sales team members to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and customer service excellence.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and implement performance improvement plans as needed
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to promote customer loyalty and retention.

    • Prepare and present regular reports and presentations to senior management on sales performance, key initiatives, and recommendations for improvement.
    • Utilize sales tracking software, CRM systems, and other tools to track sales activities, pipeline management, and customer interactions.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Business-related field.
    • Minimum 4 years work experience.
    • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
    • Training skills to impart technical knowledge to others.

    • Must maintain a professional appearance Willing to travel.
