Requirements

• MBChB and Master's in Urology (MMed Urology) or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Valid KMPOC registration and practicing license.
• Minimum 3-5 years post-specialization experience in a reputable hospital
• Relevant life support certifications (eg, BLS, ACLS, ATLS).
• Strong clinical surgical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
• Ethical practice and compliance with MoH and KMPDC standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat conditions of the urinary tract and male reproductive system.
• Perform urological surgeries and procedures (eg. prostatectomy, cystoscopy, stone removal)
• Manage both outpatient and inpatient urological cases.
• Provide emergency urological care and consultations.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents.
• Maintain proper patient documentation and ensure quality, safe care.
• Participate in departmental planning, audits, and training
• Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
