Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities will entail:
- Lead in the formulation of the organizations long terms strategy as well as oversee the implementation of the same within set timelines.
- Ensure compliance and implementation of Board resolutions.
- Ensure the preparation and implementation of annual work plans, procurement plans, budgets, Performance Contract, goals and objectives.
- Prudently manage the Funds resources within budget guidelines according to the organizational policies and government laws and regulations.
- Ensure maintenance of effective internal/external controls so as to safeguard the Funds assets and oversee financial audit processes as required.
- Responsible for providing leadership in the development, execution and achievement of the Funds strategic objectives.
- Ensure prudent financial management, and administer with due care, the institutions assets and liabilities.
- Facilitate development and implementation of appropriate human resource policies and practices that fully conform to current laws and regulations.
- Build effective relationships with the Board, government, regulators, partners and other stakeholders.
- Enforce a culture of regulatory compliance, good corporate governance and adherence to guidelines in place.
- Engagement with stakeholders to enhance the corporate image of the Fund.

- Responsible for the Procurement function of the Fund as per the Public Procurement and Disposal Act.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, the job holder must have:
- Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines; in Economics/Finance or in a Business related field from a recognized University/institution.
- Masters Degree in Economics/Finance or in a Business related field from a recognized University/institution.
- Senior Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks and Strategic Leadership Development course lasting at least six (6) weeks.
- At least fifteen (15) years experience in public or private sector employment, Ten (10) of which must be at a senior management level in a reputable organization.
- Membership to a relevant professional Body and be in good standing.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties will entail the following:
- Formulation, implementation and interpretation of financial, administrative and accounting policies and procedures, strategies and programs.
- Manage staff in Finance & Administration Department, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties to them.
- Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the Funds annual budget and work plans and reporting on the Funds performance/status on quarterly basis.

- At least 10 years relevant work experience with at least five (5) years in a managerial position.

- Formulating policies for effective risk management strategies and framework for the Fund.
- Coordinating and overseeing all risk management activities and assessing compliance with internal policies, relevant contracts and all legal and regulatory requirements.
