    Prosecution Counsel- 140

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    • For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
    • Bachelor of laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university;
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of legal Education;
    • Admission as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
    • Member of the larv Society of Kenya in good standing; and
    • Meet Chapter Six (6) ofthe constitution of Kcnya zoro.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This is the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at this level may be deployed to work at any of the Regional, County or Sub County Offices under the guidance of a senior and experienced officer. Specifically, duties and responsibilities will include:
    • Conducting criminal and related poceedings in relation to cases instituted before courts of law;
    • Analysing of judpents, and preparation of appropriate documents for appeal, rewiew, or rwision and related proceedings where necessary;
    • Conducting pretrial, in-trial and post-trial proseqtiotr strategies;
    • Advising gorarnment departrents and agencies on criminal matters;
    • Conducting the prosecution of criminal cases;
    • Drafting plaadings;
    • Ensuring prudent management of rcsounces;
    • Participating in the development and implementation of annual work plans,
    • prccur€ment plans and budgets;
    • Collecting, collating, anabaing and submitting of criminal statistical data and reports;
    • Liaising with the police and other law enforcement agencies; and
    • Conducing legal researth on the files dlocated to them.

    Accountant-5

    REQIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Finance option or Accounting or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Certified Public Accountant - CPA Part II or its equivalent qualifications; and
    • Meet Chapter Six (6) of the constitution of Kenya 2olo.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This is the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at this level may be deployed to work at the
    • Regional or County Offices under the guidance of a scnior and experienccd officcr.

    Specifically, duties and responsibilities will include:

    • Implementing accounting policies, standards, systems, strategies and procedures for the Office;
    • Monitoring effectiveness of aeounting policies guidelines, procedur',es and standards;
    • Facilitating expenditure contrrol;
    • Preparing payment rouchers both for staff dafuns, imprest uarrants and suppliers;
    • Invoicing of all payment vouchers;
    • Invoicing ofAIEs for all ODPP spending units;
    • Filing of all roudrers both for payments, reeipts, imprest ald surrenders of import;
    • Custodian of voudrer stamping stamps;
    • Maintaining various voudrer movement registers;
    • Filing and storing and retrieval of official documents for the accounts division;
    • Processing of furvoice payrm.ent through the Integrated Financial and Management Infomation System (IFMIS); and
    • Eiling and storage of accourts documents.

    Supply Chain Management Officer- 4

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Procurcment and Supply Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics, Purrhasing and Supplies Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university; OR Bachelor's degree in Management/Social Sciences with a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution;
    • Member of a professional body of Supply Chain Management Officers' i.e. Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply;
    • Practicing license from Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply; and
    • Meet Chapter Six (6) of the constitution of Kenya zoro.

    Research Officer- 5

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

     For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: law, Science, Sociology, Criminolory, Psycholory or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
    • Membership to any professional body as per the discipline;
    • Certificate of competence in accord processing (Ms word, word perfect), spreadsheet (Ms excel, lotus), database management (Ms Access, Dbase, Oracle, Sequential Query tanguages - SQL) operating systems (u'indors), clesktop publishing (, Photoshop) and Statistical Packages (SPSS) from a recognized institution; and
    • Meet Chapter Six (6) of the constitution of Kenya 2010

    This is the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at this level may be deployed to work at any of the Departments at the Headquarters, Regional or County Offices under the gui.L"ce of a senior and experienced officer. Specifically, duties and responsibilities will indude:

    • Analping of court cases and legislation that have been declared unconstitutional and making proposals for review;
    • Conducting intensive reseach induding academic literature reviews and empirical research;
    • Preparing of a law digest for easy accessibility and reference to the laws;
    • Implementing multidisciplinary r€sesrctl approadres to infonn public prosecution practice;
    • Preparing and presenting concept papers and proposals from prioritized activities; and
    • Colecting and collating of relomnt authorities touching on criminal law and keeping a compendium of the same.

    Audit Officer- 2

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BA)-Accounting/ Finance Option or
    • Bachelor of Science (BSC)-Auditing and Consultancy/Finance option from a recognized Institution or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

    • Analyze the utilization of software and data analyical tools to cnhance the efliciency of the audit process;

    Information Communication Technology Officer- 5

    REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT

    For appointrnent to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other Information Communication Technolory related discipline from a recognized institution;
    • Programming skills and development of ICT systems using Pyhon, Pert, PHP or any other language will be an added advantage; and
    • Meet Chapter Six (6) ofthe constitution of Kenya zoro.

    Public Affairs & Corporate Communication Officer- 5

    REQUIRMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR Bachelor's Degree in Social Science with a Post Graduate Diploma in Communications/ Public Relations/ Journalism for general degree holders;

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) grade C Plain;
    • Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution; and

    Office Assistant III- 26

    REQUIRMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    • For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade of D+; and
    • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) ofthe Constitution of Kenya zoro.

    Duties 

    • Collecting and disposing waste;
    • Arranging the office equipment and furniture;
