    Human Resources Business Partner

    Responsibilities

    • Provide Strategic partner support to the allocated business units through implementing HR strategies to respond to the rapidly changing organizational needs and developing the next generation of leaders/ managers to grant business growth each year
    • Identify critical HR metrics, track trends and prioritize desired business solutions.
    • Understanding the talent needs of the business and thereof develop sustainable capacity while Identifying talent issues before they impact the business and provide real time solutions
    • Provide operational support to allocated business unit; communicating organizational culture, values, policies and procedures to employees and ensuring compliance in the business
    • Ensuring HR programs are aligned within organization culture as per the HR standards and keeping line managers updated on HR initiatives at all times
    • Provide Emergency Responder support to allocated business units within the set timelines and ensuring appropriate actions are taken
    • Provide Employee mediator support to allocated business units and managing conflict
    • Ensuring business unit is optimally resourced by; working closely with the Resourcing Manager throughout the resourcing process; having the right people recruited into the right positions and at the right time and cost; offers benchmarked and equitable before presentation to the preferred candidate
    • Support the Learning & Development / Training team to drive initiatives and ensure; induction and job-related training is completed within required timelines; each employee has a formalized and documented performance contract and review once a year
    • Ensure each manager has a formalized and documented development review once a year (continuous coaching is encouraged) and provide qualitative and quantitative input into the annual talent review
    • Ensure business unit’s employee engagement levels are optimal; employees are treated fairly (including processes for handling discipline, grievance, harassment, discrimination and redundancy)
    • Ensure business unit complies with all local employment legislation (including as applicable, recruitment, minimum age, pay, working hours, terms and conditions, labour relations, and diversity and inclusion) and handle all union related issues with the Human Resource manager.
    • Ensure fair compensation and benefit practices in business unit through; reviewing pay rates in accordance with local internal and external benchmarks (wherever available); grading of all management positions in accordance with the G4S grading system
    • Drive compliance with the 'Ethical' levels defined in the G4S Group Policy on Health & Safety Management and support the Health & Safety team to drive initiatives through the Usalama committees

    Ideal candidate:

    Knowledge and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field
    • National Diploma in Human Resources and/or Certified Human Resources Professional
    • Kenya Labor market and legislation knowledge

    Experience

    • 5 - 8 years in Human Resources Management in a large business dealing with unionized employees

    Security & Risk Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organization
    • Conducting risk assessment through analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business
    • Conducting risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors, and evaluating the organization’s previous handling of risks
    • Risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences, including G4S Divisional Directors and Heads of Departments so that they understand the most significant risks and ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their respective business and to individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks
    • Corporate governance through external risk reporting to stakeholders and ensuring Intimate knowledge of the MSP standards and the practical security measures deployed to deliver compliance
    • Enforce G4S Kenya Health and Safety Management systems, ensure deviations are identified and corrected
    • Promote safety awareness by bringing to the attention of employees safety policies, legal and other requirements in parades, through posters, and trainings forums and ensuring appropriate controls including provision of all necessary safety equipment
    • Ensure that contractors are sourced based on “Safety Procedures: Contractors / Service Providers General Safety Agreement”
    • Lead by example and participate in all matters of health and safety including workplace inspections, committee meetings and safety promotions.
    • Conducting audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors
    • Carrying out risk audits and implementing risk mitigation plans for the overall G4S Kenya business
    • Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organization
    • Responsibility for Security, Investigations and Compliance functions of G4S Kenya and ensuring that these units deliver on their mandate and obligations to the business.
    • Managing a dedicated team of risk and security personnel

    Ideal candidate:

    Knowledge and Qualifications

    • A University degree from a recognized in a risk management related discipline
    • Post graduate qualification in Security/Risk management

    Experience

    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing risks at top management level;
    • Sound skills in physical security and asset protection techniques, crime prevention, safety, Investigations and general security management.
    • Ability to interact and network with law enforcement, Government officers and corporate security officers and managers.
    • Sound Knowledge of the Kenyan law and legal procedures

    Compliance Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Generate reports of individual audit, reviews and periodic summaries of audit activities, findings and manage the process to develop organizational understanding about risk and controls.
    • Act as independent review and evaluation expert to ensure compliance issues/concerns within the organization are properly and timely evaluated, investigated and resolved
    • Collect, collate and disseminate relevant intelligence to Security & Risk Manager in an effective and timely manner; ensure crews/staff report suspicious incidents and fully understand implications
    • Provide timely advise and recommendations on matters relating to compliance, and collaborate with other departments to ensure continued compliance
    • To undertake any other specific reasonable duties and tasks as assigned by the Security & Risk Manager (General)
    • Maintain advisory relationships with Branches and act as consultant to management and coach to staff in techniques of Risk Management and Best practice adoption
    • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
    • Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends
    • Monitors the performance and effectiveness of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness
    • Enforce G4S Kenya Health and Safety Management systems, ensure deviations are identified and corrected

    Ideal candidate:

    Knowledge and Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree/ Diploma in Business Management from a recognized University
    • Training and exposure in Risk management or a related field
