    Forensics Manager

    Job Purpose:

    • This role will be responsible for leading, directing and managing the Forensic officers in fraud prevention, detection and investigation across Britam and its subsidiaries and will ensure that solutions are proportionate and fit with business objectives.
    • The role will manage all investigation of cases end to end by ensuring that all the investigative / operating methodologies are adhered to in accordance with the required standards and meet the organization’s needs in terms of addressing the risk appropriately. 

    Key responsibilities:

    • Identify fraud risks and or emerging risks during the course of an investigation or interactions with internal / external stakeholders are escalated upon discovery, to the relevant Business Unit/Segments for assessment and closing "gaps" related to processes, policies and systems.
    • Work with the Head of Forensics in formulating and implementing policies and procedures for management of investigations into allegations of fraud and unethical practices within the Group. 
    • Work with the Head of Forensics in managing the Forensics functions efficiently in order to meet the needs of the Organization as well as expectations of all Stakeholders. This includes preparation of a multi-year strategy and annual plans of work, the formulation of initiatives for proactive fraud management. 
    • Ensure case reports contain the findings of the investigation, recommendations addressing people, processes, procedures and system failures or internal and external threats and forward the final report to stakeholders, Human Resources (HR), Legal etc. 
    • Identify high-risk Business areas, through feedback received from parties attending risk forums/investigations outcomes and perform specific fraud awareness presentations at the respective Business Units/Segments to the identified staff.
    • Evaluate scope and allocate cases for investigation within 24 hours of receipt.
    • Assist the Head of Forensics in provide oversight and monitoring of all cases allocated to direct reports for investigation in line with set guidelines and standards.
    • Embed Investigative Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines for Investigation Management.
    • Embed fraud prevention/detection processes and procedures, including systems to manage fraud losses within the given budget & Implementation of Fraud Strategy.
    • Provide feedback to Heads of Business Units/Segments and other stakeholders insofar as investigations findings and recommendations are concerned via face to face meeting / email correspondence or Executive reports for business to be appraised on the investigation status.
    • Develop staff training programs that build Fraud Risk awareness within the Group.
    • Establish and manage capacity in Digital Forensics in order to be able to handle the fraud cases involving digital evidence. 

    Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
    • MBA is an added advantage.
    • Professional qualification e.g. CPA(K), ACCA, CISA. CFA, Digital Forensics or equivalent.
    • 5-8 years’ experience in a similar position; 2-3 of which should be in a managerial/supervisory capacity in a busy environment.

    Technical/ Functional competencies:

    • Knowledge of internal audit procedure.
    • Report writing-ability to develop reports.
    • Decision making – ability to make strategic decisions in a timely and effective manner.
    • High moral and ethical standing.
    • Highly motivated.

    Digital Associate

    Job Purpose:

    The job holder will be responsible in making sure reports, analysis, and dashboards accurately reflect vital information about digital marketing campaigns, leads activities and production. He/ She should be an outstanding communicator, can document business requirements, analytical thinker and detailed problem solver. They will be able to support the product team, its stakeholders and partners throughout the product lifecycle: from inception through to post-live optimization.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Developing and presenting learnings from analysis, including actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Creating dashboards, data visualizations, for campaigns, leads and performance reports.
    • Identify opportunities to drive client success through advanced customer segmentation methods, improved review workflows, efficient production options, normalization of incoming data, and better client-side workflows.
    • Manage partner campaign initiatives with the digital marketing team to deliver campaign objectives and lead generation.
    • Constant monitoring of partner performance targets, deadlines and KPIs which are regularly monitored and delivered, making timely interventions to remedy any slippage to meet planned project outcomes.
    • Take lead in partner engagement, relationship management and fast track assigned partner engagements.
    • Input into Business Case preparation, providing context and data to underpin assumptions.
    • Drive and own the definition of business requirements, working with the product leads/managers and development teams (creative/ UX/ technology) to create user stories ready for development. Provide sufficient detail within the high level requirements to facilitate initial estimation and sizing.
    • Drive the Digital innovation agenda together with the Head of partnership and digital innovation continuously identifying and developing solutions that deliver superior customer experience.
    • Key liaison and customer advocate, ensuring customer needs are observed and fulfilled, between the customer; first tier customer support representatives; and the various business segments i.e. Retail, Corporate and EMC. 
    • Support the strategic direction of digital product development as well as service and process offerings with a digital focus; analyze client feedback to make recommendations for continuous improvement and/or development of new functionality or features.
    • Must be seasoned and proficient professional to stay ahead of the digital curve, innovative, pro-active and provocative, yet diplomatic - an expert at managing relationships.
    • Demonstrated experience in gathering and translating business, consumer, cultural, and social insights into actionable implications and strategies on digital platforms.
    • A Self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment who can devise the right course of action to achieve the objective.
    • Delegated Authority:  As per the approved Delegated Authority Matrix.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

    • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, IT, data analysis, or related field.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrable track record of achieving success.
    • Digital planning experience is considered a strong asset.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
    • Ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Demonstrated experience growing projects into long-term client partnerships.
    • Conversant in the principles and practices of user-centred design.
    • Basic understanding in project management. 
    • A passion for innovation, design, and technology.
    • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
