    Senior Manager, Client Support

    The Position:

    The senior Manager, Client Support is responsible for.

    • Managing and contributing to the Delivery of all IT components of Group Services to meet business objective.
    • Managing the performance of Services to clients internal & external as agreed in the contract and ensure that the Service Levels are achieved.
    • Redefining Service as a strategy within the Technology Department and mature ITIL V4.0
    • Automating the manual functions in Client support and implement full stack application monitoring.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Effectively monitor all critical systems in the Bank and communicate to business in a timely, concise, and effective manner for service outages, service interruption and service improvements.
    • ITIL V4.0 is fully implemented and maintained.
    • Definition of Service Level agreements (SLA’s) in relation to contracted services, ensuring the SLAs are achieved: service quality and client expectations are met or exceeded. Ensure that any SLA breaches are investigated, and corrective action taken to improve Service Delivery.
    • Management of the IT Client Support Team including but not limited to; responsible for Service Desk, Monitoring Centre, and I.T Call center, responsibility for the team career development and appraisals.
    • Build and Maintain client relationships both internally & externally.
    • To provide reports periodically (or on request) on System Monitoring and Service Desk
    • Attend client service review meetings covering performance, service improvement, quality, and processes.
    • To ensure that systems, processes and methodologies as specified are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of IT services.
    • Manage, support & guide on issues logged on IT Service Management tool system, Issues reported on emails, social media and support issues from Subsidiaries / internal helpdesks.

     

    The Person:  

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • A University degree in IT/ Engineering or related field
    • Certification in ITIL
    • 6 years’ experience in IT Service Management with at least 2 years’ experience in Infrastructure.

    Oracle Database Administrator

    The Position:

    The database administrator is responsible for ensuring high performance, high availability, integrity, and security of database systems within the KCB group entities. These databases will run on diverse technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL and other relational databases.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for support of Oracle database systems including but not limited to availability, performance, and reliability of database systems.
    • Responsible for interfacing with application development teams to ensure applications fit within the Oracle database systems with scalability, reliability and security designed and implemented from the onset. 
    • Perform database performance analysis, tuning, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance to ensure maximum performance.
    • Implement database backup and recovery strategies that meet KCB’s recovery and availability requirements.
    • Setup and document database related processes and procedures   for Business Continuity.
    • Recommend best practices and ensure they are implemented and incorporated into DBA procedures.
    • Diagnose and solve complex problems including non-functional problems such as performance issues with Oracle Engineered Systems by identifying workarounds and driving resolution.
    • Provide technical guidance for design, development, integration and testing of production Oracle databases.
    • Responsible for ensuring conformance to security standards for all Oracle databases.
    • Design BCP and HA solutions for Oracle database systems in order to achieve required uptime SLA for mission critical applications.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in ICT related field or Electrical Engineering.
    • 5 years’ progressive experience in Information Technology with at least 3 years’ experience in database management in environments with Oracle RAC, Data guard, RMAN and Exadata Engineered Systems.
    • Certification in Oracle – Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

    Enterprise Solution Engineer

    The Position:

    The Enterprise Solutions Engineer is responsible for the creation of technically complex multi-component solution designs and partners with Enterprise and Solution Architects to identify and implement solutions that enable business needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop high-quality solutions that are scalable, secure, and stable. Using technologies such as JAVA Spring-boot, T24 core-banking, Kubernetes, and Docker container images.
    • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to analyse product requirements and design best-fit architectures and solutions, guided by KCB group policies and industry best practices and standards.
    • Identify and implement innovative solutions using API Gateways and Open APIs to support of new and existing business opportunities and to mitigate existing risks.
    • Accountable for the timely delivery and end-to-end life cycle of high-quality software solutions.
    • Analyse and fix software defects and contribute toward ensuring high availability, scalability, fault tolerance and resilience of solutions and.
    • Design, develop unit test plans and perform unit and scenario testing for application code bases and interfaces. Code and release management using GIT and DevOps processes.
    • Collaborate with Technology Risk and Security teams to ensure that applications are well secured as per the bank’s Technology Security policies and standards.
    • Provide 3rd level support to application support teams in resolving incidents.
    • Create and communicate initial estimates including suggested solution, expected impact and cost for small, medium, and large business initiatives.
    • Collaborate with external partners with respect to the coordination of integration activities.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related degree.
    • A Certification in either, ITIL, data analytics, SAP BI JAVA programming, Kubernetes, and Container images, WS02 and Micro-services design, Oracle Certified Practitioner or T24 Development
    • A minimum of 5 years ‘experience in Technology with at least 3 years’ in banking systems and systems development, and 2 years’ experience in Agile development, Analytics & Enterprise reporting and Emerging Technologies

    Senior Manager, Systems Integration

    The Position:

    The Senior Manager Systems Integrations will provide leadership in the System Integration and engineering activities, leading inhouse and partner integration specialists in developments, review and deployments of best-in-class integration solutions on the Integration platform and in the management of the enterprise API gateway platform.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership in development, deployment, maintenance, and management of best-in-class enterprise systems & integration platforms for business-partner integrations and by third-party applications and services.
    • Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery and provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching, mentorship and identifying areas for growth and improvement within the team.
    • Work with external developers to facilitate their onboarding and to expose open APIs for their consumption of business financial services.
    • Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
    • Provide third-level support to business users, research and evaluate a variety of software products and their suitability to the business.
    • Perform regular code reviews to ensure conformance to integration standards and best practice.
    • Work with Enterprise Architecture teams in the ddefination of the integration and dataflow architectures, and design and development of interface specifications documents (ISDs) for the APIs across all the integration touch points.
    • Defining the systems integration needed to deliver any reengineering and platform change, including defining the interfaces needed, the integration technology needed, and the transitionary steps needed to ensure continuity of the systems, data, and business during the replat forming.
    • Reviews and ensures business and technical architecture for Integrations aligns with the customer’s functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Lead, support, modernize, coach, develop and transform integration workforce & skillsets across the enterprise.
    • Work with other technical and business stakeholder teams to ensure high quality integration solutions in the areas of technical fit, resilience, security, reusability, maintainability, compliance, and efficiency across all integration 
    • Ensuring that integration solutions aredelivered, deployed and operated in a highly repeatable and predictable manner through interaction and collaboration with DevOps and implementation teams.
    • Collaborate with the production support teams around production incidents involving integration to directly or indirectly ensure their timely resolution and recovery and preventative measures are taken to avoid recurrence.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related degree.
    • A certification in Java, ITIL or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 5 years ‘experience in Technology with at least 3 years’ experience in IT Banking Systems, IT Projects, Banking Operations, and Emerging Technologies.

    Product Configuration Specialists

    The Position:

    This role is responsible for leading the requirement analysis of the bank’s digital products, product configuration testing and prototyping. The role is also responsible for working closely with the banks vendors to define requirements, feature roadmaps, document and sign off change requests as well as plan for platform upgrade.

    This job holder will support development of new products and services, enhancements, maintenance and creating customer focused self-service and digitally enabled products. The role is also responsible for driving innovation and roadmap on the bank’s payments and lending platform through the Technology team and 3rd party vendors and partners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Gain a deep understanding of the banks digital platforms working with vendors and the Technology team to define the platform roadmap, customizations and change requests.
    • Analyzing and documenting requirements for new products and services and associated controls, customer journeys and notifications, arising from new business or customer requests.
    • Support the progression of change requests from product managers and business users to testing, prototyping, deployment, and regression tests post deployment.
    • Work with different stakeholders including Technology, Risk, Customer Experience and Operations team in ensuring DFS product delivery standards are adhered to.
    • Configure and document configuration solutions for the Vooma platform in line with agreed business requirements. Maintain Vooma change requests documentation and track progression with the platform vendors.
    • Maintain good quality documentation of configuration changes made on the platforms including roles and permissions matrix of the platforms.
    • Scope and prioritize configuration change requests from product managers, track and report on delivery status.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • A University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related degree.
    • 3 Years’ experience in technology with at least 2 years’ experience in product development & business analysis, and 1 year experience in project management & mobile money configuration and support.

    Applications Support Manager

    The Position: 

    The Applications Support Manager will lead and coordinate the Applications support teams and ensure the bank’s Technology system’s availability is not compromised through guaranteeing its timely accessibility 24 x 7 x 365.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with other Technology staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

    • Perform recovery and testing of systems and processes in accordance with the bank’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
    • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, and processes.
    • Create and maintain best practice policies and procedures for business users; ensuring that there are adequate controls around that all service improvements are managed effectively and meet the needs of the organization.
    • Responsible for designing and implementing ETL architecture to meet corporate data management needs and business functional requirements, ensuring that solution designs address operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, extensibility, flexibility, and integrity.
    • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting, analysis, ETL data integrity, test automation, data quality validation and documentation.
    • Support, develop and maintain ETL and data warehouse objects and processes in a large Data warehouse of Terabyte scale.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • University degree from a recognized institution preferably in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
    • 4 years’ experience in Technology with at least 3 years’ experience in computing platforms, operating systems, and databases and 2 years’ experience of using SAP and E-business Suit Applications and working in a UNIX operating Environment.
