    Credit Team Officer

    Operational since 2011, Sanergy serves over 140,000 urban residents with safe sanitation services every day. Sanergy collects and treats over 12,000T of waste per year, and successfully sells its agricultural end-products to farmers in over 20 counties in Kenya, who see improved yields and increased incomes.     About the role

    The Credit Officer will be a member of the Credit Team for the Fresh Life network. They will work in collaboration with our customer support team, Sales & Operations  and Finance Team. The Credit Team Officer is responsible for credit monitoring and delinquency management of the assigned portfolio for  fresh life customers.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Issuing receipts and reports to Fresh Life Operators regarding account status
    • Follow up on payment on overdue customer accounts.
    • Liaise with Credit Manager to maintain loan schedule and perform portfolio at risk analysis on a weekly basis
    • Review arrears, monitor progress of existing loans, assess clients’ financial status on repayments and ensure achievement of set targets for the collections of invoices.
    • Refer unresolved cases to the Credit Manager, prepare weekly reports on collections received, follow ups done and commitment dates agreed on.
    • Working with the clients on an agreed payment plan, send reminders before agreed due dates, handle customer complaints, answer queries and offer advice to the clients through call follow ups and sms.
    • Maintain updated records of outstanding balances, drive repayment behavior, follow up with clients about repayment plans and advise clients accordingly. 
    • Analyse  his/her portfolio data using excel functions
    • Collaborate with other teammates in the organization to ensure that our customers receive effective and efficient services.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s  degree of Commerce or other business related degree from a recognized university
    • Credit Experience in small, medium or large MFI having managed a portfolio of  Kshs. 40 Million
    • Experience and knowledge of credit evaluation
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Good financial analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Good communicator (oral/written in English & Swahili)
    • A team player with great presentation skills
    • Call Center Supervisor experience desired

    Export Manager

    About the role

    The Innovation Team’s mandate is to find the next big breakthroughs for Sanergy, and a top organizational priority in 2022 is export markets. We are expanding our focus outside of Kenya, and starting to sell our products in Europe and North America. We need to prioritize all of our current and potential products, across various geographies (Africa, Europe, North America), lay out a prioritized go-to-market export plan, and then execute on that plan. The Innovation Team is like Sanergy’s product team — we’re always opportunistic to find the most advantageous segments and geographies to be selling our products, while also informing which products we need to develop next. We’re a team that prides ourselves on moving swiftly, hitting our goals, and being willing to iterate as needed. You’d be expected to lead the development of export markets across various products, helping influence the priorities of our business. You will report to the Director of Innovation and manage the Export Associate.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Director of Innovation in defining our company priorities with regards to our current and potential products in export markets
    • This entails developing a market landscape across all viable sales geographies as well as codifying a business plan and go-to-market strategy for our suite of products
    • Building and growing our sales pipeline in export markets — you’ll have the autonomy and support to drive the direction of this work
    • Directly engage in sales with clients by owning the pipeline you have developed and building in the processes as needed for efficient operations
    • Operate in a cutting edge environment within the circular economy space
    • Manage the Export Associate to assist you in your work and to accomplish company objectives

    Qualifications

    • Experience in building processes, sales, business development, product and/or market landscaping
    • 6+ years of working experience, preferably 3+ years in Europe and/or North America
    • Preference towards fast growing start-ups, international consultancies, or international organizations
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and an aptitude for creative problem solving and getting things done
    • Someone who is interested in and energized by the circular economy space
    • Highly self-directed, with a demonstrated ability to organize concepts into frameworks, build processes, and develop well-considered business cases from research.

    Quality Engineering Associate

    We are an increasingly sophisticated, highly intricate organization with many moving parts and currently seeking a Quality Engineering Associate to join the Operational Excellence team.

    A typical day for you might include the following:

    • Review DAILY targets as set by planning team
    • Provide team leads with DAILY target requirements
    • Carry out DAILY quality checks in the assigned areas
    • Review adherence to CCPs and Work Instructions on a DAILY basis and provide guidance to crew leads and other operators
    • Provide DAILY updates on adherence, blocks and progress towards improvement projects
    • Contribute towards troubleshooting issues with the composting process
    • Lead implementation of corrective actions. Where actions are tied to different teams, provide follow-up on agreed upon corrective actions until completion
    • Measure and report on Daily and Weekly performance on the key performance indicators for the composting process
    • Monitor and control the critical points for the composting process
    • Identify and share opportunities for improvement with the operations team
    • Develop systems to structure and analyse data
    • Closely work with Operations team to ensure adherence to quality and HSE guidelines
    • Respond to requests pertaining to the process areas quickly and efficiently
    • Contribute your point of view towards ensuring continuous improvement
    • Work towards conflict resolution esp. between different departments through open and honest discussion”
    • Work with existing vendors to promote Quality, Health, Safety and Environment aspects within the site as per internal policies and procedures
    • Develop a 4-week tactical plan (broken into hours, days and weeks) for conducting process quality checks within the specified section that is in line with the production targets.
    • Train the operations team on instructions and corrective actions in order to achieve the required results
    • Plan and lead execution of process monitoring projects – to achieve the required yields
    • Actively participate in improvement projects with other teams within site
    • Proactively share new ideas to the manager and support bringing them to fruition
    • Propose and implement changes to existing CCPs, SOPs, WIs and other process documentation.

    Skills and qualifications you’ll need  

    • Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
    • Demonstrable experience of not less than 2 years in the relevant field
    • Experience in thermophilic composting is an added advantage
    • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
    • Demonstrable problem solving skills
    • Has great analytical skills
    • Ability to work with a team
    • Ability to be adaptable and flexible
    • Communication skills Ability to learn
