The CCO will drive the company’s commercial growth by leading sales, marketing, client relations and business development across local and regional markets. This strategic leadership role requires balancing market expansion, revenue targets, and brand positioning while ensuring client satisfaction and competitive product offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s commercial strategy, identify new local and regional market opportunities, and lead regional expansion initiatives. Ensure revenue growth, profitability, and sustainable business development.
- Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics. Oversee the full sales cycle, from lead conversion to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring client retention and business growth across all market segments.
- Maintain premium brand positioning and oversee marketing campaigns, PR, and brand awareness initiatives. Align brand messaging with business development and client acquisition strategies.
- Cultivate relationships with key clients and strategic accounts, act as an escalation point for high-value negotiations, and ensure top-level client satisfaction through regular feedback analysis and service improvement.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and product performance. Identify gaps and opportunities to enhance pricing, product innovation, and service delivery. Collaborate with leadership on product portfolio decisions.
- Lead and inspire teams across Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Design & Solutions, and Sales Support. Promote collaboration between technical, creative, and commercial functions for seamless project execution.
- Track sales performance versus targets, manage debtors and collections, approve major contracts, and ensure SOP and policy adherence to safeguard revenue and profitability.
- Prepare board reports, monitor budgets vs. actuals, and provide actionable insights to the CEO and Board for informed decision-making. Track client and market data to guide commercial strategies.
- Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, provide mentoring, identify training needs, and ensure adequate staffing and competence across teams to drive high performance and retention.
- Participate in client visits, monthly review meetings, workshops, and other activities to stay connected with the market, support teams, and organizational goals. Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth, regional expansion, and delivering strong revenue performance.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing and mentoring teams of 15 or more.
- Must have substantial professional experience in the Kenyan market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all field and processing activities related to hybrid and open-pollinated production of baby corn, seed maize and cucurbit crops (such as watermelon, squash, pepper and tomato).
The role ensures high-quality seed production in compliance with company standards and certification guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement seasonal production programs, coordinate land selection, field layout, and crop scheduling, and ensure timely sowing, transplanting, pollination, harvesting, and post-harvest operations.
- Oversee hybrid seed activities including detasseling (seed maize), emasculation, and hand pollination (cucurbits).
- Monitor crop growth stages, conduct inspections for off-types, diseases, and pests, and maintain proper male-to-female ratios and pollination efficiency.
- Ensure seed quality parameters (genetic purity, germination, moisture, and physical purity) are met and maintain accurate field and production records.
- Supervise and train farm workers, providing technical guidance on crop management and hybrid seed production while ensuring labor efficiency and productivity.
- Manage harvesting, drying, shelling/extraction, cleaning, grading, packing, storage, and inventory of seeds.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, seed certification standards, and maintain documentation for audits and traceability.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and seasonal production reports and maintain accurate records for operational tracking and regulatory compliance.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Seed Technology / Horticulture.
- 5–8+ years of experience in hybrid seed production, preferably in cucurbits and seed maize.
- Knowledge of pest and disease management in corn and cucurbit crops.
- Strong knowledge of hybridization techniques and seed certification standards.
- Experience in managing large-scale field operations.

The successful candidate will support field operations related to baby corn, cucurbit seed production (watermelon, squash, pepper, and tomato), and seed maize while supervising field workers, allocating daily tasks, and promoting safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Support land preparation, planting, transplanting, irrigation, and fertilizer application while supervising daily field activities to ensure proper crop establishment and spacing.
- Monitor crop growth stages and assist in implementing nutrient management, fertigation programs, and integrated pest and disease management practices.
- Oversee weed control activities and participate in rouging operations to maintain varietal purity in seed production fields.
- Assist in supervising hybrid seed production activities including emasculation, hand pollination, monitoring pollination schedules, and maintaining proper labeling and records.
- Monitor baby corn harvesting to ensure crops are picked at the correct maturity stage while maintaining quality standards for ear size and freshness.
- Maintain accurate field records, production logs, and input usage reports while supporting internal inspections and seed certification processes.
- Supervise field workers and seasonal labor by allocating daily tasks, monitoring performance, promoting safe work practices, and ensuring adherence to company SOPs and quality standards.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of baby corn, seed maize and cucurbit crop production.
- Understanding of seed production principles (genetic purity, isolation, rouging).
- 2–5 years of field experience in crop production or seed production.
- Exposure to hybrid seed production or vegetable crop management is an advantage.
- You MUST have a valid driving license with a motorbike endorsement and be proficient in riding.
