WTP Operator Job Responsibilities

• Maintain the water treatment plant systems in order to ensure the availability of clean camp water supply
• Maintain both water treatment and effluent treatment plants
• Inspect, service and repair components of the water treatment plant including water intakes, pipes, water storage vessels, chemical equipment controls, circulation pumps, valves, filtration units, contactors, controls, reactors, dosing pumps, flow meters
• Ensure adequate water supply for human consumption and other activities
• Inspect the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to ensure effective operation and prepare work orders for servicing and major repairs
• Ensure that all chemical stock is stored securely and safely.
• Maintain inventories and advise when stocks reach reorder level
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs

• Sets up and operate blow molding machine to mold plastic products according to specifications
• Turns valves to start flow of water and release air pressure to machine.
• Move machine controls to set timing unit and temperature of heating unit and start automatic feed mechanism.
• Adjusts machine mandrel and aligns mandrel with mold chamber, using wrenches.
• Start molding machine that automatically feeds material from mixing unit to mandrel and to mold chamber.
