    Marketing Officer

    Job specifications (duties)

    The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -

    • Assisting in marketing the Schools services;
    • Assisting in brand management for the School;
    • Assisting in developing of new products and determining the appropriate pricing and marketing strategies that can optimize benefits to the School;
    • Assisting in ensuring viable business proposals are developed and submitted to development partners for financing;
    • Assisting in carrying out market survey;
    • Explore potential commercial business opportunities available;
    • Assisting in coordinating the development of pricing strategy with an eye towards maximizing School’s profits while ensuring that the customers are satisfied;
    • Assisting in monitoring and coordinate sales in the different stations to provide feedback on necessary remedial measures; and
    • Assisting in analyzing sales reports and advising on necessary marketing changes.

    Persons’ specifications

    To qualify for this position, the applicant must have: -

    • Bachelor Degree in Marketing from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in Computer Applications including knowledge in desktop publishing; and
    • Meet requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

    Risk & Quality Assurance Officer

    Job specifications (duties)

    The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:

    • Assisting in the preparation and review of the departmental work plan and budget;
    • Assisting in the development and review of departmental quality procedures, standards in line with the Strategic Objectives;
    • Assisting with risk assessment and documentation of response strategies for efficient feedback of risk measures put in place;
    • Assisting in updating and monitoring implementation of the risks;
    • Assisting in conducting quality checks to ensure that services meet customer expectations;
    • Assisting in following up with the responsible department to ensure that recommended actions are taken up to address the identified risks;
    • Assisting in reviewing and updating risk registers;
    • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports in matters of quality assurance;
    • Assisting in the preparation and review of the quality assurance document including procedures;
    • Assisting in Undertaking internal Audits and the preparing of the internal audit reports;
    • Assisting in the planning for training and organization for staff sensitization on matters of quality;
    • Assisting in the development and review of quality assurance reporting templates; and
    • Assisting in following up on non-conformities raised during audits and implementation of the corrective action plans.

    • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance or Auditing options) or its equivalent from a recognized institution;

    Lecturer (CPD P&R)

    Overall purpose of the job

    Reporting to the Assistant Director, Continuing Professional Development, Projects and Research, (CPD P & R), the incumbent will teach short training courses and carry out research. The incumbent will also assist in the planning and coordination of specific programmes or projects within the department.

    Job specifications (duties)

    The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -

    • Identifying the training and development needs of focus groups or professionals to be trained;
    • Designing the training calendar in consultation with the Assistant Director;
    • Developing and designing training resources and materials. This would include training notes and presentations, training materials and methodologies, e-learning materials, dvds, videos to meet client’s needs;
    • Disseminating, advertising and promoting the training programmes;
    • Sourcing for consultancies and funding for training programs;
    • Coordinating with the other Task Groups to organize training sessions as part of a larger event or conference;
    • Training of paralegals and non-lawyer professionals in integrated legal issues to enhance effectiveness in the performance of their roles;
    • Developing and carrying out sensitization on emerging legal issues to create awareness;
    • Carrying out legal consultancy; and
    • Carrying out research on emerging legal issues.

    Persons’ specifications

    To qualify for this position, the applicant must have: -

    • LLB degree or equivalent from a recognized university;
    • Be admitted as an Advocate of the High court of Kenya with at least four (4) years post admission experience preferably in a training institution;
    • Have the ability to coordinate and conduct short-term legal training programmes; and
    • Meet requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution

    Overall purpose of the job

    An officer at this level will work under guidance and supervision of a senior officer, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing the School’s communication strategies, policies and plans.

    Job specifications (duties)

    The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -

    • Assisting in reviewing print, electronic and social media for preparing press briefs and appropriate responses;
    • Assisting in recording and developing photographic images of the School’s activities;
    • Assisting in producing documentaries of the School’s activities;
    • Assisting in developing and updating web content and postings on social media;
    • Assisting in preparing and producing speeches, reports and other publications;
    • Assisting in preparing and maintaining up-to-date media contact database; and
    • Assisting in maintaining a library of publications and documentaries pertaining to the School.

    Persons’ specifications

    To qualify for this position, the applicant must have: -

    • Bachelor Degree in Journalism/ Mass Communications/ Public Relations or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in Computer Applications; and
    • Meet requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
