    Tax Manager

    Job Description

    The overall purpose of this job is to ensure tax compliance for all Sendy businesses.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Provides advice on the tax structures of the group and how to optimize them
    2. Ensures that all entities under Sendy are tax compliant and have a valid Tax compliance certificate
    3. Be the lead for KRA matters (e.g. VAT Auto assessments etc) and KRA audits.
    4. Keep up-to-date on tax changes and provide the finance team with monthly circulars on key changes that affect Sendy.
    5. Support Expansion – Tax registration, compliance etc.
    6. Develop tax procedures to handle new or emerging requirements in the business units.
    7. Frequent review and reconciliation of each company’s tax ledgers to ensure we communicate any inconsistencies to the relevant parties.
    8. Be the lead in transfer pricing regulations for the entire group.
    9. Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

    About You

    1. Bachelor’s degree in finance & tax field.
    2. Professional qualifications in accounting such as CPA (K) or ACCA.
    3. Minimum five years’ experience in finance & tax accounting.
    4. Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    5. Good grasp of Finance, Tax Accounting and Reconciliations.
    6. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    7. Ability to prepare summary reports for discussions and decision making.
    8. Excellent grasp of Taxation & relevant legislation.
    9. High-level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills.
    10. Must be a self-starter and highly organized.
    11. Ability to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
    12. Analytical, creative thinking and problem solving skills.
    13. Strong leadership skills.
    14. Excellent communications skills.
    15. Strong project management skills.
    16. Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
    17. Flexibility and adaptability.
    18. Open to change.
    19. Calm under chaos.
    20. Directly accountable to the VP Finance.
    21. Required to work with the Finance managers / Senior MA’s of all the Business units in all countries,Tax authorities and Suppliers/Customers.

    Sales Intern-Fulfillment

    Job Description

    The overall purpose of this job is to support Sendy’s growth and acquisition across Africa through understanding customer needs, identifying business opportunities for Fulfillment and continuously growing Fulfillment.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Working closely with the Head of Sales or assigned staff member, and completing all allocated tasks.
    2. Conducting research, or gathering information through surveys or by speaking to clients and staff.
    3. Attending and participating in meetings, workshops, events, and exhibitions.
    4. Liaising with vendors on behalf of assigned staff.
    5. Updating documents and sales records.
    6. Reviewing sales performance against sales targets.
    7. Observing and carrying out sales processes.
    8. Identifying potential weaknesses and offering improvement suggestions.
    9. Assisting Business Development Managers with negotiations.
    10. Keeping a log of everything learned and delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders.
    11. Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
